Family get away- Dave M. from Thornville, Posted: 08/02/2021
We really enjoyed this house, it is right on the beach and easy access. They have a hose for your feet before entering house ad a shower. there is plenty of parking for our childrens car. The house is beautiful and well appointed with anything you need. The kitchen is awesome and they have everything you need for cooking. Garden City Realty were organized and super friendly with check in a and out, they did a great job getting us in the house earlier than expected and we really appreciated their hard work. We are renting again next year...- Jim S. from Piedmont, Posted: 07/26/2021
This was a lovely beach home. The only complaint was the living room furniture was not really very comfortable. Would gladly stay there again.- Dianne B. from Maynardville, Posted: 05/25/2021

I wanted a clean, safe and not too crowded area for my family to vacation to for spring break this year. The Blue Wave met and exceeded my expectations. The check in process was quick and efficient. The woman who helped me book online and in person (not sure if the same one) were extremely helpful and took me through each step of the booking and and answered all of my questions timely. It was a truly easy and simple process. Once my family arrived to the beach house, I think we all forgot that the pandemic was happening around us. The house is decorated impeccably, no detail was overlooked. We had 5 adults and 3 small children for most of the time, and we had more than enough space. The outdoor shower was great for rinsing off sandy kiddos before going into the house. A feature I liked was the ladders to the top bunks were removable. With a 3, 4, and 6 year old I preferred to remove them and put them in the top bunk. That way the kids were safe to roam. There was still plenty of sleeping space. I love that each room is attached to a bathroom. We definitely utilized the washer and dryer frequently. I brought my own laundry soap, hand soap, and dish soap. We also needed to buy trash liners and hand towels (we only received one with the towel package) However, I never called the office to ask for some. I am not one to complain, and I was dazzled by the house itself and thought these few items we needed to get were no big deal. Overall, a memorable and beautiful stay. My kids will have this memory and I am grateful it all worked out. We are already looking at booking next Spring, but may need a bigger house as more people in my family want to come. I highly recommend this house and hope to return some day!- Lisa F. from Hilliard, Posted: 04/04/2021
This house is in great shape, and it's well-decorated. The kitchen is large, and it's equipped with just about every thing you'd need. The Bedrooms and baths are vey nice. One thing I noticed was that, even though it sleeps ~14, the house would be crowded on the main floor with that many. It's ideal for 6-8. Not a lot of room for running kids/toddlers. We had 4 and it was way good! We'll rent it again!- Laura Q. from Cary, Posted: 03/29/2021
This house is beautiful with a great view out of the Oceanside windows. Almost looks like you’re on a boat while sitting in the living room. Everything was clean and worked well, besides the hot water that was mentioned by another reviewer. Bedrooms are a comfortable size with good bedding. The kitchen had most things we needed to cook meals for the week. Blue Wave was a perfect size for our group of 6 to 8 at times. I think it might get a bit crowded downstairs if you filled the house with all the people it could accommodate.- Anonymous from Myrtle Beach, Posted: 12/29/2020
A very nice place on the beach. This is a new house so not sure if issues we found were from construction or previous renters. We had purchased the linen package late (1 week notice) and it was not delivered. I was required to pay $30 extra so when I called the office at 4:30 the lady said the linen was still being delivered. At 6:30, still no linen, office closed at 5pm., had to call the emergency number and maintenance was kind enough to deliver the linens. The tv's in the bedrooms were not used because of no instructions on how to get the cable, very complicated.- Anonymous from Appomattox, Posted: 10/19/2020
Girl I wanted to say that Blue Wave was like we died and went to Heaven. It is the most beautiful house we have even stayed in. We already booked it for next year so it didn’t get away from us. The view from everywhere you sat was just awesome. And my son who fishes the whole time he is there could just walk right onto the beach. If it was not for low tide he had to move out a bit.
It was rough the first couple days and then rained on Friday but it was still great we watched a movie just watched the ocean sat on the deck. Drank pots of coffee. I rented a golf cart and my other son and daughter rode that around to see houses and the trailer parks wishful thinking of living there ha.
The only thing we had a strange issue was with the hot water in the main shower on the first floor never really got hot it was warm enough to take a shower but never hot. The upstairs showers were really hot per the boys and my daughter. The kitchen sink the water really was never hot really and I believe that the faucet is backwards and the hot water is towards the front and the cold is towards the back and I think it should be opposite. Yet it was odd when one of the boys was doing a load of his laundry the water in the kitchen and main shower in the master on first floor seemed to be hotter. Just putting it out there in case someone needs to know. We did notice when we got there on the porch two of the spindles on the deck were bent in two places and they were like that when we got there. Not sure what caused it maybe a chair hit against it or what. And there was a window in the living room that was shattered and had already been taped.
It was the most pleasant trip ever. Other than out last night there Friday night. The house to the left of us had lots of people staying there with kids and those kids were up til 2pm or more in the morning hollering and screaming It was most frustrating as we were in bed by 9:30 so we could get up and leave th- Margaret or Brian D. from Covesville, Posted: 10/01/2020
