Beautiful home, nicely kept, transaction with realty office very professional and prompt. Great parking for our yearly mustang trip. The views and access to the beach were wonderful. We have stayed many years in this development and this is far the best vacation home yet, already booked for next year.

When we rented in Dec. 2019 for July 2020 we were hoping all 18 to 20 guests would be able to make the trip. Around mid May, because of the Covid virus the 20 figure dropped to 14 and dropped again down to the final count of 9. In spite of the virus, the 7 days at Moonlighting were great. We are scheduled to come back next year.
The unit seemed to have some improvements made to it...painted and repair of the front steps, a new lock for the inside stairwell door leading into the kitchen.
The only problem we had was with the dish washer. Several times we had to re-run the rinse cycle or the dishes were not entirely clean. I suggest that the dishwasher be checked out and repaired or replaced.
I also suggest that since the whole house is rented, A walkway connector be constructed so that each side can be reached via the front porches.

The house needs some up dates . The lock on the apartment door was broke . Couldn’t lock up and the back stairs have never been fixed . Some of the mattresses need to be replaced . Under the unit need to be cleaned . We love staying there and hope to do it many more years .

Celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with family and close friends. Moonlighting was a perfect size home for 22 people. The large rooms were all very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed, plus it was great to have 2 refrigerators!!! Location was perfect. We had beautiful ocean views and was a very short walk to the beach. Also, the private pool was amazing !!! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves !!!

This turned out to be a great place for our large family. The coolest part was that each bedroom had its own bathroom, so no waiting for showers and no issues for people "with issues". Its located in a great spot not far from all the beach things and shopping that people might want to take in.

The management company was very easy to work with.

The place was clean and there were lots of handy kitchen tools available to us, which is was important since our stay was over the Thanksgiving Holiday.

My only complaint might be that this rental of the entire house is essentially two units. There is an attached two bed/two bath apartment that is only accessible from a separate staircase. So if you are renting the whole house, some folks will have to go outside to back inside the main house to join the rest of that family. it's really not that big a deal, and this may be very convenient for folks that need some downtime away from a larger group - the apartment has its own kitchen, TV's, living room, an front porch - however it would have been nice to know from that start since when we first entered the house we thought it was two bedrooms short and had to go find the other outside staircase to realize that was part of our rental as well.

Overall though I would recommend this to any large group.

Moonlighting is a large home rental that meets the needs of those who use it. Clean, roomy,quiet & many more extras to make your stay comfortable.A great view and a spacious beach are only a minutes walk away.A large front porch allows you to sit and relax, morning or night.

We had a wonderful time. The house was great and had lots of room. The only real complaint is the dust that was hanging around. All ceiling fans really need to be cleaned, had 1/4 inch dust or more on them. You turn them on and dust flies. Otherwise it was great.

I rented the home for my 25 relatives from 6 states to celebrate my husband 85th birthday. Everyone had a blast and the home was everything we needed. A few maintenance issues need attention but did not have a negative effect on the festivities.

We had a wonderful time. our only complaint was that of the inconvenience of the access to the 2 bedroom unit. too bad that the two decks couldn't be joined someway.

Very good. Meets our needs for 12 separate beds. Locks need to be changed. Tree in rear driveway needs to be trimmed. Office personnel very pleasant, helpful.

Large, roomy house (very small bathrooms though). Great location for shopping, dinning, and doing the tourist activities. This is a 2nd row house, but it sits across from a vacant lot so you have an amazing ocean view! The dryer in the main house does not work well (forgot to mention that to the rental agency - hopefully they read these!) Several of the outside chairs were broken and really needed to be replaced. Kitchen could use a few more pots, pans, utensils, etc. Beds were ok (not horrible but not great). Wifi worked well and was easy to connect to. Overall, a very good place. I have used Garden city realty for several years now and their rental process is easy, their website descriptions are pretty accurate and informative, and I have never had any issues with them.

Really liked the new ref . A few things need to be done to help things better . The upstairs drryer didn't work . It took ove 2 hour to dry a load of clothes . Some of the mattresses need to be replaced .

House location - awesome! We were right there by the beach and the views from the two decks were beautiful. We had our own little private beach away from all the other tourists. The pool was a great size for our family. Having the 2 refrigerators and the kitchen/dining layout in the main house was very comfortable for the amount of people in the house.

A few things that needed to be addressed: we ordered the full linen package and we're missing a few sets. A quick phone call to the realtor and it was resolved within an hour. The overall cleanliness of the house wasn't that great upon check-in. There were cigarette butts all over the grounds and grass. Maintenance was sent over to clean up what they could. Bedrooms/bathrooms were clean. The kitchen looked like it was just wiped down quickly - food sauces all over the kitchen walls and when we went to use the blender, there was still alcohol. The lounge chairs were all broken and we asked them to take them away to keep anyone from being injured (one of the kids and one of the adults had the chairs collapse while they were on it). The beds need replacing as most of them were already sagging in the middle.

But all those were minor things and Maureen/Garden City Realty were quick to respond. Our family had an AWESOME time there. It was perfect between the beach and the pool and lots of room to hang out without being on top of each other.

The house was in a great location, quiet, open, view of the ocean. Loved being off the main highway. Only 2 downfalls were that one fridge smelled like fish and there were no hot showers until the last morning. Maintenance was very timely in coming to the house and washing it out. It helped some but it was rough for the weekend to smell that. The hot shower situation was hard because we were in and out of meetings all day and by the time we got back to the house at night it was not convenient to call. I pray this can be a simple fix because this would be a great location for us to return to next year. The house for the most part was very clean.

Good for most part. Commodes overflowed, leak from somewhere next day in ceiling of carport, AC unit in apartment is constantly cutting on/off and making lot of noise, treelimbs over back dirt driveway need trimming badly--cars get scratched.

We had a great trip. I was concerned about the stairs for my parents but they did fine as it had good handrails. We could drink our morning coffee from the deck and watch the waves...fantastic pool for our family.
Don't call maintenance .. My brother fixed things as the guy just showed up walked around and said he would come back the next day-he charged them for an hour each time...dryer never did work properly-owners should not be happy with electric bill.

This was my family's second year at the Moonlighting and we are already booked for next year. The location of this home cannot be beat and the house is a perfect fit for our extended family of 18. We had a few minor issues with the house but they were immediately addressed by the maintenance staff of the home. The quiet street and almost private beach are favorites for us!

This was our second year at this house and i have to say it was wonderful..Easy walk to beach...we could pick any spot we wanted on beach because it was very un-crowded...Fun to watch the grand kids chase the birds...

There were 24 family members sharing this house. Plenty of room for everyone. The house and location was awesome, loved the private pool. Walk to the beach was easy even for my 75 year old parents. I wish the apartment was more accessible to the main house.

The house was a great vacation place. Lots of room, great location. Out of the mainstream but only a short ride/walk to hwy 17 where we could go anywhere we wanted. Private beach, friendly neighbors.

There were 18 members of our family who made our 5th trip to Myrtle Beach together this year. Our experience at the Moonlighting was wonderful-this house is great with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. We had a few minor problems with the house but those were all remedied quite quickly. The view of the ocean from both front porches was breath-taking!

Need to replace a few of the bed mattress' and finish the repairs to the outside decking and stairs, a little unfortunate that burned-out property across the street (not much you can do about that)is in view but otherwise good value for a oceanview rental. Management company very responsive to needs.

We loved the house! It was perfect for our large group! The only problem we had was that the dryer in the main house did not work very well. It took several cycles to get a load of clothes dry.

Moonlighting was a great place to stay. We had issues with the plumbing in 4 of the bathrooms and the little apartment kitchen sink
Handyman came at a good response time. He was able to fix the worse bathroom leaks. We also had a tv remote problem 2 missing remotes and 2 which did not work. Handyman brought replacements but they would not work due to age of tvs. Other than the above, we all had a great time (it was a family reunion) and would certainly rent Moonlighting again. The only other annoying issue was the inability of being able to get to apartment without going up and down steps to go back and forth between main house. Its a shame they couldn't have made both first floor decks connect in someway.

The house needs a few upgrades and some general maintenance but overall it is a great house and Garden City was very responsive to our requests to come and repair the loose stairs and change the dirty filters. The main problem with the house during our
stay seemed to be the pool or maybe the pool filter. We didn't call it in but by mid-week the pool was cloudy and by Thursday it looked dirtier, so we banned the kids from it because we were afraid of bacteria.

The maintenance man was working in yard, so we told him about little problems - ex: the outside lights around the apartment were out, the shower in the apartment did not work, several TV's in the main house didn't have remotes. He was helpful and came back the next day, replaced the lights bulbs, worked on shower but did not get it fixed (the apartment guests had to share one shower) and on Thursday - he got remotes for the tv's.
Overall - the house was very nice
