Water's Edge 708

Unit was well equipped and clean. I guess that my only complaint is with the realty company. Their resort fees are beginning to make the condo rentals pretty much unaffordable.

Loved the balcony chairs and the view! Both sleeper sofas need replacing. Cushions sink so much it is hard to get up. Used throw pillows to sit on to prevent sinking. Would love to stay again but ONLY if sofas are replaced.

Beautiful view at this condo. Not to high, not to low. Room was ok. Handle on tub came off the first day and didn't call it in until last day bc, well, we forgot and headed to the beach after showers. The toaster was broken. Carpet in bedroom is a tripping hazard for my handicap mom. Looks like the try to tape down with scotch tape. The pull out beds werent bad actually. They use to have NO SMOKING SIGNS on every balcony and this one didnt or it was taken down. Smelled pot the entire time. The pool area was kept clean by grounds keepers. Pool security wasn't what it was last year. Over the course of 10 years .. we have rented from numerous VRBO, waters edge, Garden city realtors, etc and never had a problem if we arrived early... we were simply told to hang by the pool, bar, etc until room was ready or flight. THIS YEAR, we were denied both by Clarissa at the resort. We had to sit at Dunkin before and after to wait. I expected better from waters edge.

We recently stayed at Water's Edge in Unit 708. It was our first visit to this resort and would definitely stay there again. Garden City Realty always gives a very accurate description of units with photos that are realistic. The resort and unit were immaculately kept. Staff always helpful as well as on location Security. The covered parking was plentiful and they provide numerous carts for luggage along with adequate shopping carts for small items or your shopping to get things back to your unit. The elevators were outstanding! Very little wait. Must be doing something right, as all those staying were always smiling:) There is an indoor/outdoor pool area which connects those pools. Good exercise room. Hot tubs huge and inviting. The common outdoor space is so great you almost want to stay right there even with the ocean just yards away! What a wonderful deck area to soak in the sun or just relax. Plenty of tables, chairs and loungers:) On site, there is a cafe and bar right at the outdoor space. They even give out samples! Out unit was just as it appeared online. Very clean and well equipped. The balcony offered privacy with very comfortable seating - spent a lot of time out there. Breathtaking view as you enter unit, almost like you are on a cruise as all you see is the water until going onto balcony. With such surroundings, you are tempted to stay there and not partake in all that Myrtle Beach has - which is everything you could want - shopping, shows, restaurants and more. Would highly recommend Garden City Realty, Water's Edge (including Unit 708). Oh,yes, the location is fabulous - easy walk to Surfside Beach new pier or the very popular Garden City Pier with food, fishing, and arcade and more.

1 bedroom 2 bath oceanfront condo. Condo was just as described. The unit was clean and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Received text well before check in time that we could check in.

The condo was clean and the code entry made entering/exiting easy. It was easy to find parking. The interior was as pictured. We especially liked tge oceanfront deck and the high top Adirondack chairs. We were fine w/using the beach rental Co. for umbrella/chairs. Note: they are available at 9am and they start retrieving them at 4:00 pm.
The pool and hot tub were great. Friendly bar underneath. A cooler and beach towels would have been helpful and appreciated.

This condo was beautiful and it was obvious that someone put a lot of care into decorating, furnishing and caring for it. We were a party of 6; 2 adults and 4 children, and we all fit comfortably. We had all of the amenities to cook meals, bathe and sleep in comfort. The view of the ocean from the balcony was amazing! We also enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs and the beach! Our only problem was parking as we did not know ahead of time that the parking garage was very low and it did not fit our SUV with cargo carrier on top. Therefore, we were forced to find street parking and received several parking tickets due to poorly worded signs. This could easily have been prevented by including this information in the description of the unit/ resort. This did not ruin our trip but it was still an inconvenience and did cost us extra money. Overall, a great location otherwise.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, MY STAY AT THE WATERS EDGE WAS OK, ON A SCALE OF 1-10, I WOULD GIVE THE HOTEL AND 7 AT BEST. MY CHIEF CONCERNS ONTHE PROPERTY ARE AS FOLLOWS, THE PARKING GARAGE LIGHTS WERE NOT WORKING FOR THE MAJORITY OF MY STAY, I NEVER ECD A APARTMENT LOCK CODE FROM GARDEN CITY, I CALLE DTHEM 3X TIMES TO INFORM THEM, THE APARTMENT WOULD NOT LOCK AND I COULD NOT LEAVE THE APARTMENT WITHOUT LOCKING THE DOOR, I CALLED GARRDEN CITY, SATURDAY NIGHT, SUNDAY AND FINALLY RECD A CALL BACK LATE SUNDAY. IN ADDITION, THE CABLE TV DID NOT WORK AND I CALLED GARDEN CITY THREE TIMES BEFORE SOMEONE SHOWED UP TO GET THE TV RUNNING. i THINK THE PROPERTY HAS SEEN BETTER DAYS.I LIKED MY ROOM AND THE UNIT WAS CLEANED AND HAD ALL THE NECESSARY KITCHEN UTENCILS. I WOULD RECC THE PROPERTY DUE TO ITS GOOD LOCATION.
