Description
The Salty Dog is a six-bedroom, five-bath oceanfront home located 0.6 miles south of Garden City Pier. This home features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with two microwaves, dishwasher, as well as a washer, dryer, central heat and air conditioning, and ceiling fans. Three TV and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include one king, three queen, two double, and three twin-sized beds, one with trundle. Five bedrooms feature a private bath. Outdoor amenities include a covered porch, sundeck, enclosed shower with hot and cold water, rinse off station, and ample parking (six covered spots). For more information about this property, please refer to the virtual tour and photographs. Trailers permitted. Motorcycles permitted. Dog friendly. Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Café, and Original Sam's Corner.
Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Great House!!
This was my families third year staying at Salty Dog! We love this house and the location is great! All of the renovations are fantastic! We are so sad that it won’t be available to rent next year! This is the 3rd year we’ve rented this house. It’s perfect for our family! The 2 dens are great—kids upstairs, adults downstairs. This was our 4th year at the Salty Dog. The upgrades are fantastic! I would suggest a gate on the deck in order to keep small children and pets safe and also move the foot wash spigot to the middle deck level. A hose in the garage would be nice.

We stayed the week of Memorial Day. The beach was not crowded, which was great. Great location, very short drive to dining and grocery stores.
There were a few minor issues with the house that we did not bother to report (lights out on porch, broken frig shelf.) The only issue we did report was that somehow the linens were not in the house. 45 minutes after my call they were delivered with apologies. So great service!
The house was very clean and the kitchen was exceptionally well stocked. We had 11 people and everyone had plenty of room.

We gathered our whole immediate family to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, 3 generations, including our little frenchie dog ... perfect setting 24/7 , the grands are little, so very convenient, literally steps from waves, and best sandy beach area, flat, firm sand and easy to walk on.

We had a wonderful time at the Salty Dog house. We brought our 2 little terriers with us and spent most of our time on the awesome back covered porch. The location was perfect. Just a short walk to the Garden City pier and 5-15 minute drive to restaurants or attractions.
