Always good to be oceanfront. Enjoyed several wonderful restaurants, excellent customer service from Garden City Realty. I would not recommend for 14 people unless they are Very close. Bathrooms are extremely small.
House needs a thorough cleaning. Not real dirty but needs dusting. Elevator has mold. Trash not picked up on Thursday as stated.

We found several roaches in kitchen.

They are always very need and clean and if you do have an issue they come right out. We had a small leak under the kitchen sink. We called the office he was there in about a half hour and fixed it.

We came to visit our daughter at Coastal Carolina during Thanksgiving. The whole experience was wonderful.

View is amazing and loved the big screen porch. The house was clean upon arrival and had everything our family needed for the week. Small bathrooms, but nice big living space. We would rent again.

This is the second year we have stayed in this house. Perfect size for our family. Oceanfront with an awesome porch. Great location away from the hustle and bustle of the pier area. Sure wish the owners would invest in new mattresses though.
Sanderling is a nice house - well stocked, lots of games and books available for guests, included the linens/bath towels/dish cloths (which was great!!.), good location. Pros: Right on the beach, updated, outside shower and the rinse off shower were nice, elevator to get your stuff up to the top level...if we go to GC again next year we would stay there. Cons: Narrow living space if you have small children, AC does not Work well on one side of the house.
Helpful info: Rent a golf cart for the week to get back and forth to the pier, Kroger, arcade, and just for fun! Graham's Landing Restaurant in Murrells Inlet is a good place to eat as well as the Conch Cafe in Surfside (great shrimp Po' Boy (but leave off the provolone cheese) Pam and Neal's In Surfside for Monday night trivia and beverages... good burgers, too.

We had a great vacation in Garden City - as always.

Really enjoyed the screened in porch with the best view of the ocean I've ever seen in a rental. The elevator made bringing the heavy coolers upstairs a breeze. Plenty of room and a nice layout. The kitchen was well equipped and the washer/dryer were new and worked well. Close to shopping but away from the crowds on Bus 17. Enjoyed our stay and would rent again.

House was perfect for our family get away. Loved being right on the water and the screened in porch was perfect when you needed to get out of the sun for a bit. House was clean and staff was helpful and accommodating every time we spoke prior to check in.

Perfect for our group. The beach is beautiful in GC!
- Patricia Diane I. from Lake City, Posted: 03/28/2017
The house was a little dated but clean, the outside needed to be power washed but wasn't nasty, and the landscaping could use some help but for what we needed, it suited us just fine. The layout was great. Very roomy. The two baths were small but for our needs they were ok. Loved the screened in porch. Deck and walkway to the beach were great!

My family and I enjoyed our experience staying here. It was clean and comfortable for everyone, esp our kids.

The rental part of the home was a great experience

We had a family wedding on the beach. The house was the perfect location and the weather for our out of town family was perfect, too.Elevator was a plus!Only negatives were the second frig was very rusty, screen doors needed attention and the front landscaping could have been better maintained.
- Anonymous from Ann Arbor, Posted: 04/12/2016
House right on the water was great. Neighboring houses were a little close but the breeze off of the ocean pretty much wiped out the sound coming from them. There was less soap in the house than we would have liked for 11 people but overall it was a great spot.

The house was well equipped with any amenity you could need. Clean and comfortable. The perfect beach vacation on the beach.

Our stay at the Sanderling was very nice. The location was great, not in a congested area, but convenient to shopping and restaurants. The elevator was a necessity for our disabled family member who requires handicap access. The house was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. We loved the beach being so close, and the porches with rocking chairs were enjoyed by all.
A few things to note:
-Nice to have ceiling fans!
-Nice size dining table and butler's table
-Living room furniture was very comfortable
-Kitchen met our needs but stove burners did not have right size under plates with notches for bracket which made the burners uneven.
-So nice to have so many rocking chairs on front and back porches!
-Queen beds were very comfortable, double beds were a little hard.
-Elevator was BIG help in moving luggage, baby equipment and groceries. We actually did have a visit from (2)friends with wheelchairs. So fortunate to have handicap access. Thank you so much!
-Washing machine overflowed couple of times first day of use. Maintenance was contacted and they came the next day and found the problem. Maintenance was to talk with owners.
-Lots of toys, boogie boards and beach chairs, etc. were available for our use and it really made for a comfortable beach day. We appreciate it so much!
Once again thank you for providing a place for us to enjoy some quality time with our family!

We enjoyed our stay very much! Had 4 small children and screened porch was a real blessing! Also, LOVED the deck, and the view was OUTSTANDING! And the beach was just a short walk over the dune! Really a nice location. Convenient to everything! Nice area for parking, also.

Wonderful view and very relaxing
- Susan R. from Willow Spring, Posted: 10/07/2014
The peace and quite of the location was great. It was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach, but close enough when it rained that there was plenty to to.
- Anthony/Nancy A. from Pomona, Posted: 09/15/2014
We love the cottage feel of the Sanderling but it needs to be cleaner. Ceiling fans, paneling, chair seats full of sand, floors, ceilings, blinds not good by August I guess

We had a wonderful time. The house was fabulous, very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed.

We had a fabulous week at the Sanderling. The only glitch we had was when we arrived. The house was not clean but a Garden City Realty staff member was on site. Regina was so helpful. She apologized for the mix up and was cleaning herself. She quickly called in additional assistance and the house was spotless in no time. We were all impressed. It would be helpful to know exactly what amenities are provided or not (trash bags, toilet paper, etc), it would also be helpful to know what tv channels are available for sporting events. Thank you for an absolutely fabulous beach week!

There were 8 of us that rented a house in Garden City. It was a great location. We walked to the Pier almost daily. Great walk and when we would get to the pier we would get a hot dog at Sam's. House was in a great location. We met owners the day we moved in. They were very helpful.

My family enjoyed our time in Garden City. We loved the space of the beach and the small crowds down where we were.
- Charles J. from West Columbia, Posted: 12/07/2013
Large dunes and a great view of the ocean.
- Joan W. from Wellington, Posted: 10/02/2013
As always we enjoy Garden City to the max. Great area to spend the week. We wish we could stay longer.
enjoy the beautiful Carolina shore.

Great house, great location. Beautiful view of the dunes with the ocean in the background sitting on the back porch. The house is not close to any condos so the beach is not as crowded. As for the house itself, it's all my family needs for a beach vacation, it's plenty big enough, decent kitchen, nice big dinner table that seats 10 anyway, and the screened in back porch is awesome. Nice intimate setting for a family to get together and I

I really enjoyed staying at the sanderling. it was very convenient to the beach access and the shopping areas as well as the Garden City pier. Hope we can vacation here again next year.

We were looking for a classic, simple oceanfront family rental for a quick week away and were really happy at Sanderling. The view, porches and beach access was exactly as reflected in the information. The home was a mile and a half from the Pier with an uncrowded, quiet beach. The owners supplied everything that we needed, including plenty of boogie boards and beach chairs. Sanderling was wonderfully simple, basic and homey...a true old fashioned family beach house. It was perfect for the five of us. Thanks for the rental!
- Joan W. from Wellington, Posted: 10/02/2012
We love staying at Sanderling and have booked for next year. But this year there were a few maintinenc problems all the street side lights were blown out, and the flood lights didn't work. We had no garbage can, the toaster didn't work and there were still bugs. We did tell the office about everything except the lights as it was the end of out stay. All in all we wouldn't stay anywhere else.
- Anthony/Nancy A. from Pomona, Posted: 09/13/2012
For a second year, this home is perfect for our family. It includes an elevator needed to "Great Grandmother" into the house. When it did not work the owners had it fixed immediately.
- James M. from Powhatan , Posted: 09/10/2012
Everything was as described (except the elevator didnt work) But that was minor. We loved it. I plan on staying here again if i havent bought a place of my own in GC by next year.
- Janet H. from Hudson, Posted: 05/28/2012
Nice house, bathrooms could be updated, Kitchen roomy and well stocked, all in all nice location.
- Mary Lee T. from Davis, Posted: 10/03/2011
The elevator makes luggage and grocery delivery a breeze. The kitchen, living/dining area and bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Only drawbacks are the small bathrooms and the dune that makes it a bit of a hike to the beach and obstructs the view of the beach.
- Susie Sullivan or Kathy C. from Dellslow, Posted: 09/21/2011
The house and location were convenient. The bathrooms need updated a bit. Kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, ect. One thing we liked was there were beach chairs, beach toys, rafts, ect. to use. We've always brought those with us but if you're tight on car space its nice to know they are available. Great screened in porch along with an open deck. Very nice to sit outside at this home.
- Laura C. from Lexington, Posted: 07/06/2011
Wonderful vacation! The only drawback is there is a long walk over the dunes which would be difficult for elderly or disabled. Also an outside picnic table or any kind of table would be nice.
- Susan G. from Yorkhaven, Posted: 06/01/2011
very nice location, 30min from main attractions, simply awesome!!!!!!
- Julia/Richard M. from Conway , Posted: 10/22/2010
Needs a picnic table on the deck. Some of the pans were not in good shape. Great location. Loved the big table inside.
