Please do not park cars or enter the rental until officially checked-in or provided with keys from the Rental Department. Inspectors and/or cleaners are not authorized to grant check-in permission to guests.
During the summer, pre-registered guests staying in properties with early check-in availability can take advantage of express check-in. Our Vacation Specialists will notify guests who can avoid the conventional 4 p.m. check-in time and begin their vacation early.
If you're arriving after business hours you will find your keys and directions to your rental property in our late arrival dropbox. Remember to return your signed Guest Rental Agreement the next available business day.
There are situations that can sometimes cause delayed check-ins. When this happens, Garden City Realty reserves the right to withhold keys from guests until the property has been deemed ready for occupancy. Contact the office in advance at 877-767-7737 for our hours (times vary per season) or to check if your rental is ready, if after 4 p.m.
Guests staying at Surf Master by the Sea must pick-up keys at the on-site office, unit 104.
Check-Out time is 10 a.m. We ask that you and your belongings are out of the rental property by 10 a.m. No late check-outs. Return keys to Garden City Realty no later than 10 a.m. on departure date. Guests who do not depart before 10 a.m. are subject to a late departure fee of no less than $150. If you depart before or after business hours, a key drop is available to the right of the front door at 608 Atlantic Avenue.
Remember that you don’t have to worry about cleaning the property prior to your departure, just complete the basics – place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start the clean cycle, remove all food from the refrigerator, freezer, and cabinets, separate the rented linens into two piles; one for sheets and pillowcases, the other for towels and washcloths, and lock all windows and doors, turn off lights. We will take care of the rest and ensure that the home is clean and sterilized. Have a safe trip home and we look forward to your next visit.
LINENS & TOWELS
Garden City Realty is pleased to announce that effective June 5, 2021, all vacation rental homes and condos will include towels and bed linens with each reservation. Therefore, if you make a reservation with an arrival date on or after June 5, 2021, there is no need to add towels and bed linens to your reservation or bring your own. We’ve got you covered.
Until then, linens are not furnished in all rental properties. To order linens, please contact Garden City Realty a minimum of two weeks prior to the scheduled arrival date. A $25.00 fee will be added to orders placed within 14 days of arrival. Cancellations or changes to linen orders less than 48 hours prior to arrival date will not be refunded.
Linen orders are delivered to and picked up from the rental property. Linen packages include; sheets, pillowcases, towels, and washcloths. Minimum order of $30.00, plus applicable sales tax. View more information on linens here.
COMPLIMENTARY STARTER KIT
When you arrive at your Garden City Realty vacation rental, you are greeted with a custom welcome bag. Inside the bag, you'll find area information and promotional inserts, plus one roll of toilet paper, one trash bag, and one roll of paper towels.
Guests who purchase our Best Buy Linen Package receive one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one trash bag per bathroom and one for the kitchen, two dishwasher pods and dish towels, plus a few other starter items until you’re able to unpack your bags and/or make a trip to the local grocery store.
The custom bag is yours to keep and doubles as a reusable shopping bag throughout your stay.

Free Departure Cleaning
Relax – you are on vacation. Check-out maid service is included with each reservation. When you stay with Garden City Realty we want your vacation to be a relaxing, enjoyable experience. Don’t worry about cleaning the home when you depart, just place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start the clean cycle, remove all food from the refrigerator, freezer, and cabinets, separate the rented linens into two piles; one for sheets and pillowcases, the other for towels and washcloths, turn off the lights and lock all windows and doors.
What to Bring
Items that are perishable or can become unsanitary are not kept in the properties. Properties will have pillows, bedspreads, cookware, serving utensils, dinnerware, silverware, glasses and cups, coffee pot, etc. For your convenience, we have included a list below of items for you to remember to bring with you.
- The property you have rented may/may not* include sheets and towels (bath towel, hand towel, washcloth for the sleeping occupancy of the home). Please double-check the property description for details. *Effective June 5, 2021, all vacation rental homes and condos will include towels and bed linens with each reservation.
- The rental property may include a washer and dryer within or a coin-operated facility on-site for any need to launder during your stay. Please double-check the property description for details.
- Beach towels
- Paper products (paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, etc.)
- Garbage bags
- Dishwasher and laundry detergent as well as dish soap
- Emergency kit (bandages, ointments, flashlight, etc.)
- Plastic wrap and aluminum foil
- All-purpose cleaners (during your stay)
- Staple Items (salt, pepper, sugar, spices, etc.) and condiments
- Bath soaps and shampoo
- Beach Items (towels, umbrellas, chairs, water sporting, and fishing equipment). Should you forget any of these items there are stores where most items can be purchased and/or rented.
- Cooler. It may take the refrigerator in the home up to five hours to cool your beverages, snacks, and meals. Plan in advance and bring a cooler to keep your most important items cold.
