Noisy. Woke up early every morning to someone drilling or banging. Fire alarm went off at 5am. One elevator completely shut down. Other elevator was working only 1/2 the time. Had to climb stairs with a bad knee. Roaches on balcony. People below us had several loud guests on their balcony every night. Smoke smell from them was nasty. Not a good experience.

Elevator not working causing delays and people having dogs in “no pet units”. Luggage carts are held in units,not allowing people moving in or out, their use.

Overall we had a great time. The property is dated and couch and loveseat need to be replaced they were very uncomfortable. The Tv's are small and need to be updated to larger screens. But overall we were there to go to the beach, and not spend lots of time in the room.

We have stayed in this unit multiple times. The condo has everything we need and is comfortable, clean and the location is close to all the attractions we like such as Murrells Inletand restaurants. We love that the life guard sits in front of this complex and is very tentative. Also, the chair rental attendant is very tentative. Both attendants asked us multiple times thorough out each day if we needed anything.

Overall we enjoyed this property and the experience in renting it. The bed was extremely hard and there weren't enough chairs on the balcony for all of us to sit at one time.

I have never had a bad experience at the SurfMaster in all the many years I have stayed there. I was so relaxed by the time we left that we forgot our bodyboard.

PROS: Location is oceanfront wonderful, all amenities are there (although you many need to either replace the coffee maker or get the proper glass coffee pot size for it to work properly), and it is peaceful and quiet (usually, except July 4th).

CONS: Wish it was vacuumed a little better as I found wrappers and/or leftover snacks on the floor under the furniture (I moved them to do some yoga). There was only 1 set of sheets, not another for the pull out couch.

I will definitely come back there again and again, if financially possible!

Using Garden City Realty made our entire experience simply effortless. The selection process is easy with very detailed descriptions as well as photo's. The check-in and out process is simple with keyless entry. We needed maintenance, just to operate the TV and a technician was there in less than 30 minutes. Surf Master is our choice resort in Garden City!

It was good! This was our second time in this unit. Had hard time getting comfortable and sleeping, mattress very uncomfortable, ac unit was definitely more noisy than before. Overall very clean unit as it was before.
Disappointed situation at the beach, we couldn’t sit right at the beach due to beach rental chairs and had to pay for. We had to be behind them and at so many feet away. We felt the cost of unit and traveling 14 hours we should have been able sit right at the ocean with our own chairs an umbrella. Definitely limited beach space for renters and beach goers.

This was our third time staying in this particular condo and once again it was perfect. The unit is always very clean, all the furniture is comfortable and in new condition. I’m sure we’ll be back again later in the year.
Garden city realty does an amazing job with managing their properties and they are the only company we use when coming to the Grand Strand!

We stayed here for 2 weeks in September. Great condo. Perfect location. Very clean unit and has everything we need. The only bad thing is the resin balcony furniture. It was very dirty (stained) and broken. We stay in this unit a couple times a year and would like to see them buy a little nicer furniture for the balcony.

The unit was very, very clean, bright and inviting. Great views of the coastline. Nice and private also. Was nice to have the keyless entry for the front door so I didn't have to worry about lugging around a key. Bed was very comfortable too. Livingroom furniture seemed brand new and was very comfortable too. Nice to have a washer/dryer in the unit also. Pool was very clean and the pool area was always clean too. Maintenance kept the building, elevators and the grounds very nice and clean. I can't wait to come back!

Such a nice area away from all the hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach but still close enough to drive to all of the attractions. My only little displeasure was that the bedroom was a little warm compared to the rest of the condo. It could use another a/c vent in the ceiling.

Mary was great. Easy to reach and good follow up. Excellent property. On the Beach. Roomy. All furniture in good condition. Bedding was nice and firm. Would enjoy a little more water pressure in the shower but certainly adequate. All Appliances work. Clean and neat. Easy to get to. Many needed businesses close by. Golf courses within 20 minutes

Very nice condo, #509 !! Would stay here again. Master is good size, living and dining area is large, and kitchen is superbly stocked. Front and side ocean view from the balcony are excellent. Only con might be that the master bath is a little tight but what the heck, I am not at the beach to spend all my time in the bathroom. Check in and check out very easy.

Weather was okey. Had a chance to go to eateries we usually go to under the situations we are in. Scenery you couldn't ask for a better view (beach). It was good to have a different scenery and be able to sit inside to dine. The place was very spacious. I just recommend they leave a tv channel menu since our channels aren't the same.

Our trip in October was our second trip to unit #509 and our 5th trip using Garden City Realty. The unit is perfect! The new furniture is nice and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils and cooking pans you could ever need to whip up a meal. The only downside to our visit this year was the pool was extremely cold. The temperatures were 76-80 all week and we couldn’t get in the pool at all because it was so cold it hurt. Other than that we will for sure book another stay at unit #509.

This is our 4th trip to this same condo and we have had a good experience every time. The condo has not been modernized in years but everything works and is adequate. The view is great and height (5th floor) is about right. It would be nice to have some more comfortable furniture on the deck.

Condo was great; could use some new living room furniture. Toilet in 1/2 bath had a bad valve; kept running. Called maintenance Monday morning and Dave was there in 5 minutes, had the problem fixed in 2 minutes! Thanks Dave! Overall it was a great week and stay! Looking forward to next year! My wife and I love staying in the Garden City Beach are. You're just far enough south of the main strip to avoid all the congestion and close enough to enjoy the local attractions. Garden city realty has always treated us great! I will use them for all our rental needs in the area when we visit. Surf Master 509 was a very clean and nice. The balcony is very large and the unit overall is in great condition. The kitchen is well stocked with all the items you need to make a nice meal. The deck and pool area was also well taken care of. You won't be disappointed in any of the Surfmaster Units!

Nice condo that is well-furnished. Freezer makes an occasional jackhammer sound. Maintenance stopped by to repair heavy drip from the toilet tank. Can opener was nearing its end.

As usual, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to 509, our fourth. Although the condo could benefit from some upgrades (back bathroom faucets come to mind, furniture) the condo is clean and functional. We had some difficulty getting the unit to cool down as it had in the past we finally figured that the cooling works fine when folks move in around the unit. The staff went out of their way to attend to our needs, as usual.

This was our third visit to this condo. As usual, we had a great experience. The only complaints were a running toilet and TV remotes that worked less than ideally. My only suggestion for an improvement would be to put a lounge on the deck so I could nap! Also, we missed having an ice cream scoop!

Great balcony for enjoying the ocean view. This unit is very convenient to elevator, pool, and parking. The kitchen was well equipped. We slept well. A curtain would be nice in bedroom to keep out light infiltration. Could use some minor updating. We called Maintenance because of a water leak from laundry room of the unit above and they came immediately. Very pleased with the management.

We had a great week! The rental was clean and well stocked. A little issue with the water from the hot water heater burst in 909, but maintenance was on it even at 2am and checked in with us 2 or 3 times the next day. Brought in dryer for the ceilings. Most water went into the bathtub so other than the wet ceilings, there was no clean up for us. We were there a very busy week and the parking was an issue, but only had to park on side of road once.

Stay was excellent. Few very minor issues with second toilet having to be flushed twice (this stopped happening mid-week - no explanation) and stopper in main bathroom restricting water drainage.

Positives: One-bedroom bed was very comfortable; clean environment; well stocked; great view.
Negatives: Sofa bed was torture (unusable); patio furniture is peeling; outlets worn out in some areas; sofas are faded and worn.
Best Part: Lifeguards did a great job rescuing people caught-up in rip-tides and keeping the beach safe!!
