Great Family Vacation

It's been over 30 years since previously staying at Marlin Quay and it was great to see it didn't lose its charm and has only improved, especially with the recently updated windows and doors. 202 was the best - clean, well-maintained, extremely comfortable, quiet, very secure, and reasonably priced with amazing views and close to the beach. The beds were super comfortable and there was plenty of closet and drawer space. The Quay restaurant next door has incredible food and it's nice to be able to just walk over. The Marina Store is also convenient to pop in for drinks, snacks, etc. The owner of the property had made some furniture updates between us booking and arriving, which was a nice surprise and made the stay even more comfortable. The balcony has plenty of furniture to sit and relax. Garden City Realty has wonderful customer service and communication making booking, arriving, staying, and departing so easy. With the marina, ocean, and sunset views we didn't want to leave but hope to be back next year to enjoy this fantastic property!

Location was A+. Over all it was a great place to relax and enjoy both the Inlet and Ocean. Condo needs to be updated. (bedroom blinds, master bath/shower, too many area rugs) It was nice to have newer appliances and a well equipped kitchen.

My family came down for a wedding and vacation. We had a incredible selection of places to choose from and within our budget. Great location with wonderful views. Two of the most important things we look for after location and budget are safety and rental being clean. Garden City Realty was a five star on everything!!!! Thank you for being there for 50 years as a family owned company..

The area was perfect, loved that the condo was next to a marina, enjoyed watching the boats come and go, and also across the street to a short walk to the beach. I would recommend better table and chairs for the balcony, there was only a snack table; a high top table and chairs would allow guests to also view the ocean. Kitchen could use sharper knives and better cutting boards. There was a major leak in the bathroom ceiling the first week of stay but maintenance came right over and addressed. Second week after a rainy day/night, there was a leak in the bedroom ceiling, the bed got soaked and also floor, maintenance's solution was pray it doesn't rain (not an acceptable response), there was a stain on that ceiling so this has happened before (definitely needs to be addressed). The last week we were there, someone was smoking in the middle of the night and the smell was coming into our condo through the bathroom fan, ugh! There was a broken pipe on the property grounds which took a couple of weeks to fix and we were without water for a day and a half. The hole on the property was still not filled by the time we left, well over a month. Lastly the elevator broke down the day my friend was leaving so had to carry her 50 lb luggage down the stairs. But overall I loved the area, so definitely recommend if the issues above are addressed.

The unit was a great location, close to public access to the beach and beautiful views of the inlet channel and marina. The condo was perfect for our purposes, just a few suggestions: We didn't use the pull out couch,but if we needed to there were no extra blankets or sheets for it. We could have used a couple extra blankets for our own beds. They only had a sheet and a very light quilt. There were plenty of extra pillows, just no blankets. The place was over all very clean and had everything we needed. The laundry room had cluttered shelves and was a bit dirty. We were there 4 days and only two of us, but if it was longer there really was not an empty cabinet to put food/groceries. Beds were soft and the mattress covers were stained. Marlin Quay is a safe and gated community of condos, with two very nice pools, and quiet which we liked. We would definitely stay there again.

Thanks for the feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. The owners agree with your comments and will have additional blankets in the bedroom closets soon. They also regularly replace the mattress pads and have address this. The King Mattress has been replaced. Additionally, the laundry room has been decluttered beside the kitchen to help create a pantry for food items. The owners appreciate your feedback and for choosing their condo for your vacation. The condo was in a great location and was very clean. There were some issues with the TV's not working but this was fixed quickly. The view was nice but construction on grounds and pool was an unexpected distraction. I'm sure it will be very nice after the construction is complete. We did run out of hot water after one shower. I did, however, like the condo and would stay there again-hopefully with hot water and completed construction!

We enjoyed a wonderful week with my parents at Marlin Quay 202. At check-in, we noticed the light fixtures in the hall bathroom were on the counter, called Maintenance, and they responded within 30 minutes. The only improvement we would suggest is relocation of the wireless router from the master bedroom to the den to enable Wi-Fi access on the balcony.

We loved our stay at Marlin Quay! Very spacious condo. Nice furniture. Comfortable beds. Lots of windows. With the deck and balcony, you could be outside even if it was raining. Easy access to the beach. Other units were occupied but we never heard anyone else unless they were outside. Had a great vacation!

There is not a better location of ocean and inlet than Garden City. This is the perfect family vacation if you're interested in being away from the traffic and crowds of people at MB.

We recently stayed at suite 202 at Marlin Quay in Garden City.
location was great,less than 5 minute walk to beach, overlooking marina and the marsh walkway at murrell's inlet. Outside area was always clean,pools in great condition
Condo inside furniture in good condition
Beds very comfortable,bathrooms in very good condition. suggest that cushions for patio furniture need to be replaced and carpets in bedrooms could use a cleaning but overall I would not hesitate to rent this condo again.

Overall, it was a great location. I loved being able to sit on the balcony both morning and evening. Marina and restaurant were not noisy. Owners/cleaning crew could pay a bit more attention to little details that would make a big difference. Kitchen not well equipped & several utensils were dirty; one very squeaky bed; no hangers available (I managed to get some from rental office); master bedroom closet was very cluttered. Overall, tho, it was a great week at the beach.

We have a wonderful time. The view of the inlet was spectacular. Exploring Murrells Inlet made the trip exciting. The staff at Garden City was very helpful. Looking forward to hopefully staying again next year.

Condo was very clean and comfortable. Great location and views of the inlet with beach access directly across the street. Felt safe and secure. Also, having the cafe/restaurant on the premises came in handy. Would definately stay there again!

We loved the location of this property! Carpet was stained. Outdated kitchen. But for the price, we thought it was a great deal! Great access to the beach!

Thank you for completing the review. Want to make you aware that the owner took the carpet up and put hardwood floors down. The bedrooms are carpeted. Living room furniture & beds very comfortable. Overall unit needs some serious TLC. Carpets are badly stained, walls are marred & need painted, blinds need replaced, kitchen countertops starting to peel, entryway tile loose. The unit is nice, but it could be lovely. As always, staff at GCR was wonderful & we look forward to our family vacation in June.

Adore Marlin Quay - location, view, etc. Unit 202 could use some TLC - new window treatments tops on the list - the blinds need to be replaced. New TV's wouldn't be a bad thing, but again, it's a rental unit, so I get it! Wish the owners had mentioned cats - bad allergic reaction. Still, Marlin Quay is just fantastic as is the crew at GCR! Happy New Year!

THE LOCATION WAS GREAT AND EVERYBODY AT GARDEN CITY REALTY WERE FANTASTIC. ONLY COMPLAINT: ONLY TWO KEY CARDS FOR ACCESS TO PARK CARS AND ENTER POOL. WE HAD FOUR PEOPLE, SO IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO PARK AND ENJOY THE POOL/HOA APPARENTLY ONLY ALLOWS TWO BUT FURTHER THOUGHT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF THEIR GUESTS/ I EVEN OFFERED TO RENT OR BUY TWO BUT WAS TOLD THAT IS NOT ALLOWED / REALLY A HARDSHIP THAT MAY HAVE US LOOKING FOR ANOTHER PROPERTY NEXT YR BUT NO DOUBT WILL BE USING GARDEN CITY REALTY, THANKS GUYS / PHIL G.
