Simply Dune Our Thing

We love this rental. It is perfect for the dogs with the fenced in back yard. There is plenty of space for everyone. It is close to everything we like. We will keep coming back. Love the new pool too.

4 summers ago we started vacationing out side of Ocean Lakes and this summer we found our new favorite! Clean, plenty of room for the 9 of us and very short walk to the beach. The pool and fenced in yard are amazing! Maybe bring your own can opener because we couldn't find one. LOL Have already booked for 2026!

We stayed in October 2024, and more recently May 2025 so we were pleasantly surprised at the kitchen remodel. Very nice. Love having a private pool that was cleaned twice while we were there. Quiet street, closed to the beach; met all our needs. Thanks!!

Cons: Refrigerator was in very poor condition. Both vegetable doors were broken. Owner refused to fix. Never got my refund. Was told the pool could be heated for our stay for $300 total. They them want to charge $300 A WEEK. Weak spots in kitchen floor. Had people show up at different times to measure windows, ect.
Pros: Very large fenced in yard for our fur baby. Neighbors very friendly and pleasant. Loved the downstairs (In law type) addition. Friends came and stayed for a couple days and it gave them their own space.

It was too cool for the pool, but I would have loved to enjoy it, instead we enjoyed the back yard's fire pit

It is a 4 bedroom house, but we didn't know that one of the bedrooms was downstairs. So that was a disappointment. We wanted to be together. The pool was very nice.

Loved this place. Plenty of room, if you have a dog the backyard is fenced, plenty of room to run. Close to the beach(short walk). Nice neighborhood. Close to the pier. Hope to stay again at this location.

The large room is separate from the main living area. It is like it's own little apartment. Me and my husband loved having our own space. We have teens so they loved it too.This is a great place to stay !!

I’ll start with the PROS (and there is a lot that is great about this property)
- Good location (about 150 steps to the beach)
- Can walk the pier and downtown (approx .8 miles one way)
- Plenty of space with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths up top and a separate bedroom with bathroom below
- Great front and back deck
- Pet friendly (harder to find in Garden City)
- Great big fenced yard (perfect if you are bringing a pet)
- Quiet street
- Comfortable couch
- Decent sized kitchen

CONS
- Some outdated furniture
- Not much storage for clothing
- No hangers in closets
- Iron beds are a little squeaky and old
- Kitchen supplies are lacking (old frying pans, lack of some basic cooking utensils, etc)

We found it a little challenging to cook meals at home, which we prefer to eating out.

Overall we would definitely stay here again because the PROS outweigh the CONS by a lot. But we’d probably bring some of our own kitchen ware.

I want to end with saying that Garden City Realty was very accommodating, friendly and prompt with any issues we had. We have nothing but good things to say about the management company. Just a few small upgrades to the actual property would make it 5 star for us.

First beach trip with our dog. Fenced yard was a big plus. Air conditioning wasn't working. Figured it out on Sunday and Called Garden City Realty and Tim sent someone right over to fix it. Thank you Tim!! 4th bedroom has no inside didn't work. You have to go outside to enter main living area. So we stayed upstairs. Kitchen amenities lacking. Ice maker didn't work. Shower door in back bedroom kept falling off. 3 minute walk to beach. Overall not bad.

We all had a great time at the beach. This house was perfect for our family. We were walking distance to the beach. The house was perfect for our family. I have already recommended this house to a friend.
