We totally enjoyed our rental experience. Everything was just as advertised. The bed was very comfy, and we loved hearing the sound of the ocean while we slept. Everything was clean and in working order. This was a very relaxing vacation, and we didn't want to leave.
- Linda R. from Kingsport, Posted: 11/02/2020
We had a wonderful time. Beautiful sunrises and sweeping ocean views. Had a little trouble getting into condo, as it was not unlocked as we were told it would be. Also, drain in master tub would not open all the way and water accumulated. We used other shower. Faucet in master bath was VERY loose. Otherwise, property was well maintained. King size bed was very comfortable. Loved the big pillows.

Clean room. Great accommodations. Easy check in and check out protocols. We had a great vacation experience in 304.
- Jill B. from Gibsonville, Posted: 11/04/2019
We are returning Surfmaster guests but this was our first stay in Unit 304. Every time you open the front door and step inside, you are greeted with the most beautiful ocean views. The property is exactly as described and we found past reviews helpful. The third floor location of this condo made access easy from the stairs or elevator. Garden City is the perfect location. You can travel north into the heart of Myrtle Beach or travel south and be in Murrells Inlet in 5 minutes. We will return and we look forward to more relaxing days spent just steps from the beach.
- Justin B. from Akron, Posted: 08/26/2019
The room was a great location for our family vacation. Being on the third floor was the ideal combination of view abs accessibility with children. The bedrooms were extremely accommodating.
- Anonymous from Lake Mills, Posted: 07/15/2019
Our unit was beautiful. It was clean and uncluttered. Loved the beach decor and pictures on the walls. The furniture was comfortable. My son and his cousins enjoyed playing the games that were there. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. There were plenty of bath towels. The pool area was well maintained. Management was friendly and helpful. The only complaint that I would have is that the carpet in the bedrooms was stained. Otherwise a wonderful place to stay. If I come back to Surfmaster again I would rent this unit again.
- Mary Ann P. from Euclid, Posted: 06/17/2019
Loved the condo set up. All necessary utensils were in the kitchen. Pool is clean and close. My favorite thing in this complex is how close it actually is to the ocean.
- Anonymous from Kingsport, Posted: 06/11/2019
We fully enjoyed our stay at Surf master 304. The outside deck was very nice looking at the ocean and eating on it. Rooms were very nice. We liked the number coded gates to get into the complex from the beach also liked the security guards they had walking on the complex. Highly recommend.

Great week. Good food and great weather! No mishaps.
- Rebecca S. from Elizabeth, Posted: 05/19/2019
I have stayed in a lot of different condos in Garden City and this one so far was the best. It is nice when an owner updates the furniture, washer and dryer ect.
- Bonnie P. from Adamstown, Posted: 05/13/2019
The unit was beautiful. The wall of windows was amazing. We could never get the living room tv to work. Pictures in book were not pictures of same remotes. Disappointed pool was so so so cold. No restrooms on bottom level. I would stay again just very small disappointments.
- Helen N. from Lexington, Posted: 04/29/2019
304 is a beautiful beachfront condo with an incredible view! We stayed for 7 days and really enjoyed our stay here. Look forward to renting it again.
- Anonymous from New Castle, Posted: 04/11/2019
Great location. Clean. Very modest decor. Carpet old in bedrooms. Reds replaced. And front blind in living area couldn’t use. It was coming loose out of ceiling
- Bobbi Jo T. from Charleston, Posted: 08/26/2018
I would recommend tinting the door in living room and maybe hanging a ceiling fan in bedroom. Thank God we found a fan in the closet or we would have roasted.

This was an awesome vacation. Property was beautiful; condo was ready when we arrived, convenient to park, pick up keys, and get in within 15 minutes! View was fabulous. Minor maintenance issues were addressed immediately.
- Kathleen S. from Cincinnati, Posted: 05/16/2018
The location is ideal, the view unbeatable! Really nice that sheets and towels are included in the rental. Overall, the condo was clean, but the carpets could use a steam cleaning. I understand improvements have been made in the last year. I hope future improvements include a new couch, and new master bed. Overall, I would stay here again! Love Garden City, so relaxing. The lady in the rental office was a joy to work with! Email responses were fast, and all questions answered.
ISSUES: Recommend new mattresses in both bedrooms.

This 3rd floor unit is spacious, with a great view. Funishings getting older but good. Plenty of dishes and cookware. This unit has a view over the north Tower Jacuzzi. Huge Balcony. Very private and comfortable. All rooms have updated TV's and cable. The property management company is non intrusive and helpful. Had a great stay from Dec 21,2017 to January 29th 2018.
- Kyra L. from New Albany, Posted: 08/17/2017
We enjoy renting from Garden City Realty and have no problem with them. The staff at the Surf Master is also helpful. The maintenance supervisor is superior in my opinion. The unit we stayed in had carpet that is filthy and needs to be replaced. The smell coming from the garbage disposal was nauseating, such you could hardly even stand to be in the kitchen. That did get taken care of. The kitchen is not very well stocked. I think the unit in general just needs to be upgraded. I would not want to stay in 304 again, but would stay in another unit on the property.
- Anonymous from McMechen, Posted: 08/08/2017
I loved the room an the deck also kitchen was well stocked. The mgr was very helpful because the week we were down there un known to manger there was construction starting same time which involved a very loud jack hammer right outside our door they were fixing railings omg soo loud it went on off an on for two days on our side the mgr was kind an refunded one day stay I appreciate that felt like should have been two from the noise that was coming thru wall but he was very empathic.. I loved room only suggestion I have is please get rid of those plastic blinds there were many missing an some were barely attached maintenance said it's a ongoing issue if they would switch to reg sliding curtains it would be so much nicer an keep more light out in morning when trying to sleep an easier to get on an off deck an open an close. Other than those two things I would stay again very nice room an view!!!! Thank you.

My familiy has been staying at Surfmaster for about 20+ years. It is quiet (no parties). Where it is located there is always beach area when the tide is high.

Dale - We are so thankful to hear that you've returned to Surf Master many times over the recent years. There is no doubt that Surf Master by the Sea is one of the premier vacation rental locations in our area. I'm glad to hear that the issues with the TVs were dealt with promptly but sad to hear that the cleaning of the condominium was sub-par. We strive for excellence in every area and have addressed this issue with our housekeeping staff as the result of your review. Please feel free to voice any concerns you have with our office staff in the future in order that we might take care of them immediately. - Management (Surf Master by the Sea)

We have stayed at Surfmaster several times in different units, and enjoyed the location very much. We did have trouble getting the televisions to work, but someone came up right away to help. This unit was not as clean as most at Surfmaster.
- Dennis D. from Tryon, Posted: 11/28/2016
Was good considering the condition after the hurricane
- Kyra L. from New Albany, Posted: 08/22/2016
Everything was very nice in the condo with the exception of the bed in the master bedroom. The mattress really needs to be replaced, it sinks in the middle. Really hard on my back by the end of the week, but otherwise, very nice!

We love SurfMaster! This was the first time we stayed in this unit, very nice! Looking forward to Sept. In 101!

Love the place directly on the beach..Only dissatisfied with the dirty rugs and the patio which was never swept in the unit. We enjoyed our stay and will come again!

Our stay was. Great although the condo needed renovated the carpeting needed replaced and the mattresses in both bedrooms needed replaced
- Kathleen P. from Columbus, Posted: 09/15/2015
From the day I first contacted Garden City Realty to arrange our stay, everyone was so helpful and it all went so smoothly. My daughter and I enjoyed every minute of the wonderful, but too short, week at Surfmaster. My family began staying there about 21 years ago, and went every year until 2008 when my husband became terminally ill. Many happy memories stay with us.

This unit was spacious and clean. There were a few maintenance issues with it but they certainly did not interrupt our fun in the sun! If you stay here, look for Debbie. She is one of the security guards and is always ready to make you smile!

Thanks so much for taking the time to tell us about your stay. We're glad to hear that you enjoy the Garden City Beach area better than North Myrtle. We certainly agree that it is one of the most family-oriented beaches on the grand strand. Also, you are spot-on when it comes to the quality of the Surf Master facilities. The HOA has done a great job of keeping up with the common areas located around the exterior of the building. This is one of the many reasons that guests return to Surf Master year after year. We are glad to say that the blinds have been replaced by the owners since your stay. As a result, they are now in great working condition. We hope that you will return to Surf Master 304 in the very near future!

We enjoy staying in the Garden City area as it is quietier than up north. Surf Master is a very nice and clean. The blinds were the only things that were broken and needed attention.
- Jennifer T. from Pittsburgh, Posted: 08/18/2014
Thanks so much for telling us about your stay in Surf Master 304. We are so glad that you had a good experience overall despite a few issues early on. I appreciate your kind comments about our staff and their attitude towards remedying these issues. Since your stay, the rusty front door has been replaced by the HOA with a rust-resistant fiberglass one. As a result, there are no more stiff locks or hinges to deal with. Similarly, the sliding glass door latch has been replaced. Also, the towel bar in the master bathroom has been reattached to the wall and the coffee table in the living room has been replaced as well. We are thankful for your feedback and hope that you will return in the near future!

Overall, this is a good condo. The location cannot be beat, the view is fabulous, and the Management and Maintenance employees were fantastic! There were several maintenance and housekeeping issues that I noticed when we first arrived with this condo: the front door looked a little weathered and the lock was very stiff and difficult to unlock, the sliding glass door handle was broken, the towel bar in the master bathroom was coming out of the wall on one side, some floor tiles are cracked in the master bathroom, the vents were extremely dirty, there were lots of flies in the kitchen ceiling light fixture, the outdoor furniture was filthy, the light carpet was very spotty, especially in the main walkways, and could stand a cleaning and the place needed to be dusted, the entire interior of the condo needs to be painted and the glass coffee table collapsed on one side when we tried moving it to pull out the bed in the couch. Maintenance promptly took care of the cleaning and maintenance problems that we reported (bugs in ceiling light cover, collapsed coffee table and the sliding glass door handle). Overall, this was a good condo and the furniture was comfortable.

Liked location and property. Had trouble with toilets. Overall great place.
- Anonymous from Racine, Posted: 07/28/2014
We are glad to say that the condominium has received the TLC that you noted in your review. Since your stay, the front door and lock have been replaced by the HOA, and the vertical blinds and bathroom sinks have been replaced by the owner. Also, a new coffee table has been placed in the living room and the bedding on the twin beds has been replaced. These things, combined with the new air conditioning system, glass-top stove/oven, washer, dryer, and kitchen floor, have worked together to make Surf Master 304 a great two-bedroom condominium. We hope you will return to stay with us again soon!

Good location but the condo itself needs some tlc needs paint new blinds some outlets didn't work and one bathroom sink wouldn't hardly drain and also door lock was a pain in the butt
- Pat H. from Louisville, Posted: 07/16/2014
This was our 5th stay at Surfmaster and have never had any major issues. This was the first time in the north tower and found the elevators to be really slow.
- Anonymous from Fairfax, Posted: 08/20/2013
Overall the unit was nice. New TVs and blu-ray players. This unit needed some basics like oven mitts and large glasses since we do use the kitchen to cook some of the meals. Pool and hot tub were great.
- Ashley W. from Charlottesville, Posted: 06/11/2013
Very different location. Room was old fashion. My boss's room leaked
- Brenda M. from Abbingdon, Posted: 05/20/2013
My husband stayed in this condo. It was ok. The furniture is well worn and should be considered to be replaced in the living area. The cleaning was a little to be desired. Not sufficient dusted and the carpets need cleaning.

While there were things with the condo that needed some TLC (no screen from living room to patio, carpet needing cleaning or replacing and broken lock on master bedroom sliding door--which was fixed upon a call to management), the condo was well stocked and clean and roomy with some care and thought to the decor. The couches were fairly new and comfortable. Having tvs and dvd players in each room was very convenient. Wireless worked great. Appliances were clean and almost new. The linen package was nice and appeared to include a roll of toilet paper and a bar of soap for each bath, which was nice when you first arrive and haven't gone to the grocery yet. The view was magnificent--not too high up but high enough to get a beautiful view, especially sunrises each morning, and far enough away from the noisy, massive air conditioners that are bothersome if you are in other rooms closer to them as we were on a previous trip. The king-sized bed was very comfortable. The swivel chair in the living room should never be replaced but needs reupholstering--it is a great chair. Parking was very convenient, and I noticed that the common property had been generally landscaped beautifully and painted since our last visit 4 years ago. The location is great, walking distance to restaurants on the beach and a 5-minute drive from a Krogers/package store/fresh veg and seafood stands.
TVs in all rooms are great, decorated nicely, furniture is very comfortable and new. Loved the recliner and the view from it!!
- Anonymous from Dayton, Posted: 07/23/2012
Not a great kitchen if you plan to do a lot of cooking. All appliances are old, including washer and dryer. Cooking utensils need to be replaced. $20 at the dollar store would really help this situation. i.e. Bought a can opener since the one in the unit failed us.
Sunsets and sunrises were awesome. Got some great photos. Besides the
firecrackers every single night, it was basically pretty peaceful. Hopefully that
would not happen all year round, and we realize "tis the season,", and we were
visiting a state that legalizes fireworks-that's probably the biggest reason for all
Anyway, we appreciate having a place to have a memorable 4th of July holiday. Thanks to the owners, and Garden City reality.
- George A. from Raleigh, Posted: 07/09/2012
The condo was wonderful-spacious, clean, nice kitchen,(however needs to be "stocked" a little better), hot water was good, mattresses better than most rentals where we have stayed before, and the best balcony ever. Balcony in itself like any other, but the view was fabulous. It was definitely "a view with a condo.
- Donna B. from Richfield, Posted: 06/04/2012
Everything was great except for a loud group that would utilize the hot tub around 2 to 3 am daily. Our master bedroom slider would not shut lock was broken and we were woken up by their loud conversations.
- Ashley J. from Fuquay Varina, Posted: 05/30/2012
This is our second year in a row in this particular condo-we love the place! However it does seem that a couple of areas could use some TLC. This year there was no screen door on the living rm sliding door which was sad because there were some great low humidity evenings that would've been great for enjoying the beach breeze. The handle to the bdrm sliding door was corroded from the salt air and disintegrated the first time we opened the door. Our main concern was that on our last day, there was no A/C the entire day due to an issue with a cooling tower (came back on at 5:00 as promised)...during this time we also had no water for several hours. It's totally understandable that repairs have to be made at some point, but what's alarming is that last year, same week, same condo, we also lost A/C for the entire last day we were there. Just makes us a little concerned. With that being said, Surfmaster is fantastic! The folks at Garden City Realty are great, the view is unbeatable, great location....we'll definitely be back, just hope that there are some repairs done this year to especially make the A/C a bit more reliable. Myrtle Beach is no place to be without A/C.

The most relaxing vacation ever! Realty office on location made checking in a breeze, very efficient and convenient. Our room was great, awesome view, very clean, furnishings were very nice, all the kitchen supplies you need. Extremely quiet, no noise from other units. We are very pleased with our stay at Surfmaster and we are already planning another vacation for May 2012.
rent...plus you go directly to Surfmaster to check-in!

I truly enjoy dealing with Garden City Realty. It is very easy to make reservations with them online. They are also very pleasant to deal with if you need to call. I love the Surfmaster! I like that they provide linens and have umbrellas and chairs to
accessible pool, I could pull right up with my scooter, take my boot off, and slide in the pool, to enjoy it with my son. Will definitely return for years to come.

This place was fabulous. We had an awesome time. We love the Garden City area, and this couldn't be located in a better spot. This trip in particular made this place perfect. I was having ankle surgery as soon as I got back home, but with the handicapped

This condo was very comfortable and convenient. Sitting in front of the floor to ceiling window in the living room felt like sitting on the beach. The only negative is the kitchen needs updated but it was adequate.
