We had stayed at this house 4 years ago. Happy we didn't have to supply our own linens or towels. But the house itself was a somewhat wore down, numerous marks on the walls, outside decks need major attention. The outside stairs has numerous nails sticking up, one of which my son stepped on, fortunately not causing any injury. Overall the stay was comfortable as before, beds are great, pillows not so much. Staff at the rental office was very friendly and helpful.

Our experience overall was good but the management companies fall short on having the properties checked by someone competent (doing a walk through)prior to guests arriving. There are always things needing attention that are very obvious! This year there was a large dead roach middle of the living room floor and a dead squirrel near the pool as well as several lights needing new bulbs including the top of steps entry. Personally I like the property and this experience has been similar at several other properties. When you are paying hard earned money for a vacation you deserve a competent person checking basics prior to your arrival.

We love the location, nice house and pool. The dining room chairs were very dirty looking and coffee maker should be replaced because it doesn’t have an auto shut off. No large pot for Beaufort stew and other items would have been nice to have but ok. The bedrooms were nice, bathrooms were good. Nice and quiet area

This is the 3rd yr we have stayed at this property. I have to admit it was cleaner this year than previous years, but it still needs some deep cleaning. Baseboards, ceiling fans, carpet and furniture need attention. There are some maintenance problems also. Weak floor in downstairs bathroom. Nails heads sticking out from under stairwell ground floor. Light bulbs that need replacing. Handrail loose going from ground floor to first floor porch. I hope next year some of these things will be taken care of.

Perfect location, very nice pool. New pots and pans this year. Friendly neighborhood. We love this place.

Garden City Realty was wonderful to work with-kept me informed every step of the way. House was as described. The pool was great and the walk to the beach was easy. Everything was clean and well taken care of.

The weather was not great but the house was better than expected. I couldn't find any recent reviews on this house so we were a bit concerned but the house was as advertised. The pool was nice, it was an easy walk to the beach and the kitchen was well equipped.

Our vacation was fun and very interesting because Irma hit the coast with a tropical storm on that Monday of our stay over although it was good at the house some things I would like changed would be more stuff in the kitchen not enough silverware for a big group, no containers to store leftover food in needs to have two refrigerators but overall it was a good house. The location is very nice close to the beach access.

We had such a great time. The home was perfect for kids. We had so much fun swimming and relaxing in the back. Plenty of room for everyone. We loved that everyone had their own bathrooms. lol

Very good experience. Convenient to everything. Loved the pool in the backyard.
- Windy K. from Oxford, Posted: 05/23/2017
Perfect set up and everything was great for what we need and the location was perfect. The only thing I would say is the pool area could use some TLC other than that, we will be back next year!!

Sandy Paws is located perfectly. Easy access to beach and owner comps half of golf cart rental which is an awesome perk. Clean and well spaced house. Kitchen stocked well. Nice decks and pool area with plenty of nice seating and a nice hammock. Had a great time and would stay here again. Garden City Realty was great and helpful.

Real clean house both inside and outside. I would recommend this home to anyone.

Overall we had a great time at the Sandy Paws!

The house was exactly as we expected. Very clean and well-maintained. It was close enough to walk to the beach, but I recommend a golf cart. Small issue with one of the beds, but maintenance corrected it within an hour. Would definitely consider staying here again.
A few bads: when we got there the pool was dirty, but one call and they came to clean it right away. Some of the doors stick and the TVs are very, very small (hey, it rained one day!). There is also a slight wasp problem on two of the balconies, so we didn't use them.
But this place is amazing, spotless and perfect for the price. The only reason anything slightly bad stood out is because everything else was so great. Highly recommend and will definitely be back to Garden City Reality, if not this exact house.
FWIW, we were a mixed group of 20-30 year old friends and couples with a total of four kids, ages 4-17 and EVERYONE had a blast. :)

First, the goods: amazing location, close to the beach and tons of restaurants, activities, sites, etc. Not so close where you're bothered by other tourists, not so far where you can't be one of them. Plus $100 free golf cart rental is included in price, which makes it super-simple to get around.

Wonderful place to stay

We had a great week at Sandy Paws. The home and location were wonderful. It is about 1 1/2 blocks from the beach, quiet neighborhood, with a nice pool and hammock in the back yard. The first floor bedroom was perfect for my grandmother. She enjoyed watching her great grandbabies splash in the pool from her deck. The kitchen could have been appointed a little better. A new nonstick pan and some bigger bowls would be especially welcome. The home was very clean and bedrooms are all of a nice size. We had plenty of room for our family and a lovely vacation.

Aside from a few minor items, we had a great week at Sandy Paws & several family members thought this was one of the better places we've stayed for our annual beach trip. I read other reviews and the issues still remain, 2 baths had slow drains, the kitchen needs more supplies, ie can opener, dish towels, pot holders, etc. The pool was pretty dirty and the pool light broken so the grandkids couldn't swim at night. Next door was being remodeled and their pool full of stagnant water, frogs & mosquitoes. We called and someone came immediately to treat the neighbor's pool. We rented a golf cart that was nice for transporting items to the beach, but was closer to the beach than anticipated so we also walked with no problem. We would definitely stay here again.

My son was being deployed to the Middle East as a pilot w/ the AF and we wanted a weekend getaway for the family. It was great! Private baths for each bedroom, 3 bedrooms had balconies, a nice pool in the backyard after a hot day at the beach. It was perfect. I highly recommend this home. I will rent again from this owner!

We enjoyed Sandy Paws very much. The layout of the house is wonderful for a large family. The distance from the beach was perfect, and we did enjoy the view from the deck. The property needs a few repairs (slow drains, repair the Lazy Susan, and low water pressure in some bathrooms). Also, we had to clean the pool sides...they were grimy and we cleaned them. The back yard is great, lots of room. Beds are comfortable. We would stay here again, but the owners need to do some work over the winter.
- Kevin P. from Shepherdsville, Posted: 07/16/2013
This home was very nicely located to the beach, shops, and attractions. We especialy enjoyed the fact that each room had its own bathroom. In addition, the private pool was a great addition.
- Anonymous from Chesterfield, Posted: 07/05/2013
Very spacious, clean and well laid out. Came equipped with plenty of dishes, silverware and pots/pans which was nice. Close to the beach and shopping. Surprisingly private pool and patio being it is a duplex. Kid friendly pool. Bedroom TVs were very small but we didn't plan to watch TV there. Owner did show up at house one morning claiming he left his phone during his last visit there 3 days ago, which seemed kind of like he was scouting but did not see him or anyone else from the rental company for the rest of the stay. Over all it was a great stay. We had a large group and the home never felt crowded.

House was nice however amenities were lacking. Kitchen urgencies, DVD players, pool toys would of been nice.
- Christopher C. from Bean Station, Posted: 05/29/2013
Our stay was wonderful! The house and pool area were very clean and was in a great location. It was missing a few utencils in the kitchen and there are only 5 bathrooms not 5 1/2 but was otherwise a fantastic house.

My mom passed away so i only got to stay 2 days. The 2 days were nice
- Bryan R. from Newville, Posted: 08/27/2012
The house was very roomy. We had plenty of space and the kitchen had many supplies to cook with. The house was in a great location from the beach it only took a few minutes to walk there. The pool was also great except for when it rained. There is a palm tree close to the pool and when it would rain it would was a lot of dirt into the pool from the tree. The only disappointment was the bedding. The pillows, mattress covers, and blankets seemed dirty and we had to wash them before making our beds which took time from us being on vacation. Maintence from Garden City was great, the washer would not drain and the maitence man told us this happens all the time and it was clogged up for a while, but he got it back up and running in no time. We would stay here again.

location was great, need to fix the air down stairs & dishwasher
- Javier R. from Lawrence, Posted: 05/31/2012
and clean. Bathrooms were clean. Location was great - only about a block and a half from the beach. Quiet area in terms of neighbors. Pool was great to have during the heat wave. Spacious car area and driveway. Maintenance service was very helpful when I had
to call about a non-working air conditioner, which was fixed in a very timely manner. Upon arrival, we needed to take care of a couple of items. The kitchen table had chairs stacked on it and underneath the chairs there were sticky placemats as if something
was spilled or left to dry out and it was quite a struggle to get the mess up off the table. Overall, I would definitely recommend to a friend/family member. I would stay here again!

Sandy Paws was mostly clean (a few spots on the carpet were present). Furniture was comfortable and clean. One bar stool was broken. Kitchen was fully stocked and all equipment worked well. Cookware was a bit older and burned our food. Rooms were comfortable

Always call Garden City Realty if you have any maintenance issues or if you need something. There should be a coffee maker in every property, we would bring one to you promptly if you would call us. Iron's and ironing boards are not required but we will notify this property owner and ask that he furinsh this house with both an iron and ironing board.
- Garden City Realty staff
Several of the dining chairs were broken and need repair. Beds were comfortable and the house was roomy with a great pool. Had to buy several larger pots for cooking and no knives for cutting and slicing. Coffee pot greatly needed as well as an iron.
