We enjoyed our stay at Gause House. It reminded us of our Garden City Beach rental house from the 1980's. The location was perfect-just walk across Ocean Blvd & we're at the beach. The front porch was the place for coffee in the morning or talking & watching the traffic in the evening. The large dining room table was great for meals & for playing games. The kitchen was OK-enough dishes and pot & pans; nice stove & fridge, but we couldn't get the dishwasher to work & no instructions to review. Bedrooms & baths OK; 1 bathroom shower was almost too small to use-but we made it work for us. Also, Surfside Beach is just minutes away from the Garden City Pier, great restaurants, Kid's golf, waterparks, & shopping. We had a great day at Broadway at the Beach. Overall, we had a great time & would probably stay again.

Garden City Realty is always courteous and easy to work with. Which is why we keep coming back year after year!

This home was perfect for our family vacation. Plenty of room for the 5 of us. Very nice beach cottage in a great location. Loved the view from the covered front porch. Plenty of parking. Short walk to the beach.
- Ed P. from Sandyville, Posted: 06/25/2018
This was an awesome house at an awesome price. Location could not be any better for a second row house as we still had a partial ocean view. The street was not busy and there was ample parking even for our bass boats. The house is older but in excellent shape and is beautiful inside. I wod definitely stay again.

Thank you, perfect spot and always will return
week! We will return! Thanks!

This was our fourth vacation at the Gause House. The beach access is across the street, you get a nice view of the surfers in the afternoons from the front porch, and you can watch traffic and walkers all day rocking if you like. Nothing fancy, as it's original and reminiscent of childhood memories with antiques and nice touches, plenty of room to relax and smell the salt air. There is an outdoor shower and parking under the house. We did see a few Palmetto Bugs this stay, but it was a good

Very pleasant. Check in and check was the best experience I have had with that process. I will be looking to rent with Garden City in the future.

This was our third time visiting the Gause House. We enjoyed it just as much this time as the prior visits. Love the staff at Garden City Realty, they are so awesome. Easy to deal with...love,love,love, it!!!!! Thanks for everything!!!!

Our family has been renting this house for a few years now and we love the home and the view.
- Thomas/Marilyn K. from Morganton, Posted: 05/13/2014
The only thing that we found in short supply was cooking spoons and Knives. Otherwise everything was great. We had a wonderful time and are planning to stay next year at the same place, but will bring our serving and cooking utensils. LOL :) Was very satisfied with the over all experience. Well worth the price.

This was our first vacation since 2005. We viewed several real estate websites before selecting Garden City Realty. We could not have been more pleased with the agency. The house was nice and what we expected. We enjoyed the knotty pine features. The house was much more equipped with amenities such as dishes, cooking items, and barbeque grill. Really didn't need to bring anything to cook with at all. The only drawback we experienced was the fact that you could not open the windows and listen to the ocean at night. As far as the view goes, you couldn't ask for a better view for second row housing. The ease of access and safety to the beach was very comforting. Overall, in relationship to the other houses it was a relatively quiet place. We would recommend the house to anyone who would like to get away for the week.

We have stayed at this house twice this year and have been very happy. The house feels like home.
- Anonymous from Rouseville, Posted: 07/23/2013
Much more than we expected the house has a great view of the ocean. The location is prime directly across from a surf area beach. Did not have to travel far to find several restaurants and bars.
- Mary M. from Lexington, Posted: 07/16/2013
This was our second visit to the Gause House and we LOVE it.
- Andrea M. from New Albany, Posted: 06/11/2013
The Gause house has an awesome ocean view from the front porch. Steps away from the beach access. The Surfside Beach Pier is close and they have a great local place to eat oceanfront, River City Café. Excellent burgers and fries! The house is quaint & cozy with rocking chairs on the porch to people watch. :)
- Marty R. from Elloree, Posted: 05/21/2013
The house was a perfect match for me and my family. We had a great time. We also enjoyed reading the guest books. Thanks for a great vacation

nice ocean view...great covered front porch....comfy beds....great location!
- Carol C. from Lugoff, Posted: 09/17/2012
For the reasonable rate this house was great. Maybe a complete cleaning soon would be nice but overall it was in great shape. If the rate stays reasonable we will be back over and over.
- Patricia G. from Vienna, Posted: 08/11/2012
I loved the stay there, our family had a great time. I loved sitting on the porch on the rocking chair, watching the ocean......the house was home away from home. We will stay there everytime we visit surfside......

We had a wonderful stay! Can't wait to book it again!
- Pam K. from Johnstown, Posted: 07/16/2012
This was our first trip to Myrtle Beach and I'm glad we spent it at this property. There was a great view of the ocean from the front porch. The beach was just a quick walk across the street. The house was clean and pretty. The only thing I would have liked is an electrical outlet in the bathroom that is off the kitchen. Overall, we loved it.
- Melissa W. from Martinsburg, Posted: 07/05/2012
This was the second year that we stayed at this property and we are looking forward to returning for many more family vacations. This is one of the "real" McCoy original beach houses.
- Matt L. from Anderson, Posted: 07/03/2012
We stay in the Gause house every year. Easy access to everything. Mostly families in the area. We have many many memories there. Our kids call it "our" house at the beach. We have made new friends there. Some that we see there yearly. One lady lives there through the summer and we plan to get together next summer.
- Teresa H. from Knoxville, Posted: 06/25/2012
We loved the Gause House what a neat house it was very comfy and homey. It has so much character beautiful tongue and groove ceilings and walls. Beautiful old hardwood floors. We loved the antique furniture too. The only thing we would suggest is ceiling fans in the bedrooms and on the porch. The location was great easy access to the beach. Loved sitting on the front porch in the morning with a cup of coffee. I would also love to see old pictures of the house and its owners when it was built that would be neat. We will definitely stay again!!!

We had a wonderful vacation at the Gause House. The location of the property is excellent and we especially enjoyed the front porch.
- Lynn M. from Inman, Posted: 09/12/2011
It's a vintage beach house which adds to the charm of the cottage. Bathroom and kitchen upgrades would be nice. We ended up using on the one bathroom for showers (between the 2 guest rooms) b/c the master bath shower is so small.
chairs was broken and had obviously been repaired before. Also the stove temperature needs to be checked as it it not accurate...See you next year!
- Joy A. from Charlotte, Posted: 09/06/2011
This is the 8th year for my family at this house. We love it and the realty company. We checked out before the office opened and I just wanted to list some things damaged when we arrived. The bar on the front screen door was broken. One of the black rocking

Old time charm; super location - sitting on the porch and watching the waves- feeling the ocean breeze nothing is finer! The people of Garden City are very pleasant - Loved the family that owns the Fire and Ice coffee and ice cream store.....Rhonda and

The house has a wonderful ocean view and quick access to the beach. The house is an older beach home which gives it some charm. Needed some updates but other than that it was perfect for our stay.
- Anonymous from Rogersville, Posted: 06/14/2011
We had a great time and the location was perfect. The beach was not crowded like the other places we have stayed. The only thing that was needed was a few more plug-in(wife and daughters had trouble geeting ready to go out) and tv's in the bed rooms.
- Judy H. from Corry, Posted: 04/19/2011
I would recommend this property to truly made our week in surfside beach enjoyable
