Ocean Air rental was wonderful. House was very clean and in good working order. There were a couple issues(light bulb out, elevator button not work), but with 1 call everything was taken care of. The deck and pool were a great place to hang out. I would recommend this house to anyone.
I was happy to see things mentioned in my previous review addressed. New stove, serving dishes and a vacuum cleaner. Thank you.
What would be a great addition to the property would be more seating near pool area, specifically bar seats for the bar.
Ps kudos on maintenance addressing issues in less than 24 hours.

This house was perfect for our family. The description online and pictures were perfect. Kitchen fully stocked. Property clean, pool clean, and the hot tub was awesome. The property owner takes real pride in the property. Our family will definitely stay here again. We recommend this property highly. Garden City Realty easy to work with.

We had 8 adults and 10 children. The house was very roomy. We loved the huge dining table. Having two dishwashers was very handy. The house was well maintained and the location is perfect. My only suggestion would be that the owners invest a small amount of money and buy some plastic drinking glasses. Most people renting a house this size have lots of small kids. It would really be helpful to have something besides glass cups for drinking. Often the kids might want to take drinks out on the deck, and of course we were nervous about letting them take glad drink ware out on the deck. Small problem but easy fix.

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful home. This is, I believe, our sixth year renting this house and have always found it to be in great shape. Any small maintenance issues that have arisen have been promptly addressed. We will rent again as long as this house fulfills the space needs of our family.

Wonderful stress free time in a beautiful home. Realty was very accommodating when our original rental had construction safety issues last minute. The realty office went up and above to find us an alternative rental home to accommodate our large family. The home was absolutely amazing. Thank you for your hospitality.
Dining area view breathtaking and we absolutely loved the large table.
Appreciated the sufficient seating on primary deck,
top deck and pool deck.
Also loved the number of bathrooms.
Opportunities for improvement:
It’s a very large home- more serving platters and large bowls
Access to a vacuum cleaner or sweeper versus just a broom.
Labels on stove can’t be seen - trial and error not fun while cooking.

We have stayed at this house for several years and have found it to be perfect for our family. The location is a good walk from the pier and the beach is not too crowded. The owners keep this house in good condition and clean. We spend as much time in the pool as on the beach. The little ones love it! The only drawback was that we couldn’t get in till after 4:00 this year and the check in process was cumbersome.

House was very nice. Large kitchen, great porch, good pool. Plumbing pressure was a little strange ( i.e. toilets didn't flush great ) but there was some utility work down at the corner. Very impressed with Garden Realty and Air Doctor for coming out within 2 hours of reporting that the upstairs AC unit was out. Awesome customer service.

The house is a great place for families to vacation together. There was plenty of room for everyone in our 14 person group. The pool and hot tub are great options after a long day on the gorgeous beach just steps away from the backdoor. Eating on the spacious deck was great any time of day or night. We had one AC unit not working when we arrived, but it was repaired within the first hour. Also had some minor issues with a few lights not working, but nothing to detract from our time. I would still highly recommend this house and will definitely consider it again for our next stay on the Grand Strand.
with the tall tables was delightful to sit in the evening and have cocktails....the only complaint was only 1refrrigerator and not enough seating in the loving room for the 18 adults .

This is the third time we have stayed at this property and will plan to go back next year. It is always well maintained and a great location. We have a large family and all enjoy the oceanfront and pool. We cook most of our meals and the kitchen is well stocked (except could use a large stock pot for our frog more stew night)!

The house is accommodating, spacious, clean and perfect large groups. We had a total of 16 people, and had plenty of room. The location is perfect, with personal space on the beach. The pool is also a great convenience. The updates were fabulous. This was our second stay at Ocean Air, and won't be our last. We can do as much or as little as we want during our stay. Very enjoyable and relaxing. Our favorite vacation.

For some in our group at the beach it was their second year staying at Ocean Air and the accommodations were just as good if not better than our stay last year because it was freshly painted with new bedding, furniture and décor!The house is very well maintained and we thoroughly enjoyed time spent in the pool and hot tub! Our family is already talking about a 2018 beach vacation!

Enjoyable family time
Large house, many bedrooms, absolutely fabulous eating gathering much enjoyed as our 3 generation family of 14 celebrated out 50th anniversary. Great beach, not very crowded. Convenient location.
Minuses. low water pressure in baths, large second refrigerator would have been handy, but we worked around that with coolers. Range does not vent to outside. We grilled almost every meal, so this was not a factor for us.
Conclusion: highly recommended for a group that likes to eat together and spend a lot of time by the ocean and the pool and the large porch.

This is the second time we have stayed in this home and the many problems experienced the first time have all been corrected. Additionally, the owner has replaced all the carpeting with some kind of artificial wood flooring which looks and feels very nice, but is tough enough for the beach, a real improvement. There were some minor repair issues which I passed on to the management which did not affect the quality of our stay.

Our week stay at Ocean Air was wonderful! The layout of the house, the amenities, the beds, the cleanliness and the customer service were all great. We made a call when we realized the water was cold in the heated pool. Someone came out the next day to take care of that and afterwards we had a beautiful, warm pool to swim in. The house was awesome and we are already talking about going back!

It was lovely! The only issue we had was that the recycling/trash pick up didn't always happen on the days posted on the refrigerator. Also, some of the dishes in the cabinets were very dirty - the people before us must not have washed them very well. Otherwise it was great!!
Three children & spouses, five grand children (three with spouses)and five great-grandchildren (all under 5yrs) and the perfect Master Bedroom to get away from it all.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it! The owner was especially cooperative in dealing with special requests.
The dining room is spectacular with nearly every seat having a view of the ocean. We had 16 seated comfortably with my son-in-laws sister and mother visiting the first 2 days. The kitchen barchairs & grsanite counter provide additional eating with more privacy.
Many bedrooms, most with attached or close by bath.
Oversized deck with full shade tablers & chairs. Great for hanging out.
L shaped pool is half in shade.
Internet capacity handled 7+ simultaneous heavy users.
Appliances, W/D all worked well.
Dull, old and mismatched utensils. knives, cutting boards, spatulas, etc.
Deferred maintenance. Burnt out floods, mold in 3 baths, dust laden blinds, clogged HVAC filters, router (internet) 4+ failures per day, odor in game room
Saturday was a disaster, due to burglar alarm going off twice, the HVAC not working along with 100 degree heat. The gas grill in the Virtual Tour was not present. I had called the Realty Company to verify the grill's presence 2 weeks before occupancy and they sent someone over who reported back the grill was there. Rentals were not available and I bought and assembled a grill. It took till 11PM to sort all these issues out & restore my sanity.
We have rented the unit for next year. It works for us. The management was responsive and did their best. This I a complicated house and the many systems take a while to get used to.

I met the owner at the house last year and after a quick tour we were sold. We are a 3 generation family with needs for old and young. We spend a lot of time eating & drinking, socializing, swimming in the pool, and going to the beach. We also use a lot of computers and do remote office while at the beach. We have been doing a week at the beach for 4 years now, 2 at Hatteras on the bay side and the last 2 years with Myrtle Beach ocean front. Being on the ocean saves us a few hours every day.

Ocean Air is a very nice property and worked well with our diverse family dynamic. We have stayed in another property of this owner and know that they try to take good care of their homes. The biggest drawback is that the upstairs middle bedroom does not have a bathroom and we have all couples and their children staying in each room. Although we are family there were times when it was inconvenient for the couple in that room to access a bathroom. We had to call maintenance (who responded promptly) for the lights in the pool area and one of the bedrooms, which were not working, and only some of those were fixed during our stay. All in all, though, a very nice place to stay and we will return next year.

Overall our stay was enjoyable. The home is beautifully decorated with beautiful furnishings. However, the home could have been cleaner. The carpets have several stains, the tile downstairs was dirty (found food on floor in kitchen area), the lower deck needs cleaned. Could use to touch up paint through-out the house and on lower deck. The pavers are uneven which caused our toddler to trip and fall several times. The landscaping in front is beautiful, however, the back needs some work. I wasn't able to locate the pool light and several light bulbs inside the home needs replaced. Most of the tubs did not have a stopper to allow use of the tub (with toddlers, its important to be able to bath them and not shower).

We all loved the house, pretty and relaxed environment with amenities beyond our expectations. The whole family was delighted from age's 5 up to 60. Lovely views of the cleanest beach and water imaginable, a comfortable place with room for everyone to enjoy regardless of the weather. And close to everything we wanted to do. Fun pool and Jacuzzi icing on the cake.

Our family of four generations stayed at Ocean Air the first week of August 2014 and had a wonderful experience. The house was perfect for my Dad, age 93 (so grateful for the elevator) and the bedrooms with baths help provide privacy for the third generation and their families. The third and fourth generations enjoyed the proximity to the pier, and it became a ritual evening walk. The property was clean and well maintained, and I believe the owners have made an extra effort to think of the comfort of their guests. We loved the oceanfront location and the pool.

The house offers great ocean front views along with an incredible on the beach location. The beach area does not get really crowded like other parts of MB and the pool is a huge bonus especially if you have kids. Plenty of room to move about the house / deck / patio / pool & beach areas to do whatever you want. Some minor critiques: 1) if you have to pay extra for bed linens (which I think should be included) then the staff should at least have all the beds set up on check in, 2) likewise, for the price, starting out with a roll of toilet paper in every bathroom on check would be nice, 3) the house has recently changed ownership and needs a little TLC (which I understand will occur in the off season) here and there including a WIFI boost to cover all areas of the house / deck / patio. All that being said, we enjoyed the house for our 2nd year and will likely return next year.
1. We understand that through the Vacation Equipment Rental Co. they could not locate any of the linens we used in the house (including beach towels), plus a porta crib, two guard rails, a baby gate, two high chairs and two foldaway beds. Since we locked the doors as instructed before vacating someone else may have had access to the items in the house.
2. Two new clean taller beach chairs were left for other's use in an upstairs closet.
3. We left some perishables for the cleaning team and other items for the Food Bank as suggested by GC Realty. Items were separated and labeled.
4. I received a cell call from the VER (Geo. Fraser) saying he could not find any of the beach equipment left outside,(other than two vests) where it had been when we arrived, nor the inside linens. Since the linens, etc. were left in the house for us upon our arrival we left them in the house upon departure. All beach equip. was left behind the white front fenced area, and certainly not out by the curb. All items were left clean and pretty much sand free.
5. The staff at GCR was excellent, but have not been able to help us with
the equipment issue. I was given the cleaning team's phone number by GCR, called it, and had to leave a voice message. I asked for a return call, which I never received.
6. We want GCR and the VRC to work together, find out what happened to what we rented and call us. We have heard nothing and it is Tuesday late afternoon.
7. A truck came by early on Sat. to get the grille. Our son-in-law questioned the man and he said he was only to pick up the grille.

Have rented this property for a few years and as always it is well received by the group. Only knock is the water pressure in the master bedroom shower is very low. The other showers seemed fine.
