One Ocean Place 602

Although the weather didn’t cooperate fully, we had a wonderful time again at One Ocean Place. The unit was clean and the view is second to none. The Marsh Walk was full of energy Halloween night. There was a best costume contest where contestants competed for cash prizes. We’ve stayed at One Ocean Place a number of times and are planning our next visit for Spring of 2026.

We have stayed in this unit for the past several years because it’s everything we like especially the keyless entry. Our issue the past few years is getting into the room in a timely manner. Last year we were not able to access the room until almost 7PM and this year we were told at 11 AM the room was “almost ready’. I called at 4 PM and was told it was ready only to find the room had not been touched. We eventually got the text that the room was ready around 5:45. Other families we traveled with that used another rental company were all in their rooms before 4. Again the room is not the issue. If this room is with another rental company next year we will absolutely rent it. One Ocean Place is the only complex we will stay great property.

My wife and I stayed at 602 One Ocean Place. We found the unit clean and very well kept. We have stayed at 602 before and will request that unit again. The only thing that I would suggest to the owner is to purchase a double boiler to steam shrimp and vegetables and a colander to drain pasta and spray clean vegetables. We arrived home late last night and have already started to plan an October 2025 trip back to One Ocean Place. I have recommended One Clear Placed to my friends and family. We rented bikes, took a sunset cruise, had lunch at Morse Park, walked the beach, had dinner a couple nights around the Surfside area and enjoyed the hot tubs at One Ocean Place.

The condo is nice. The kitchen could use an update. Our big issue was no instructions on how to operate the TV. Every time we tried, things seemed to work differently. I'm sure it was a good service but we couldn't figure it out. So we wound up watching whatever we could access at the time. Also there were only 3 plastic chairs and a table on the balcony. The condo could sleep 8 so a few more chairs or loungers would be appreciated. The access to the gates to the pool and the beach only being available on your phone was very annoying. Some guests had swipe cards that were much more convenient. The master bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms werevery nice.

We had a fantastic stay at the condo. It was clean, and everything was in good working order. Having stayed in multiple condos at OOP since 1995, we can say that 602 did not disappoint.

Our only issue was needing to carry our phone around to use the app for unlocking gates, as the code provided to us did not work. However, the enhanced security measures ensuring that only owners and renters are on the property were a welcome change. In the past, returning from dinner to find no available parking spots was a common issue. The additional security has eliminated this problem, making our stay even more relaxing.

Overall great vacation. Condo was clean and comfortable. Owner stopped by for some measurements to do further upgrades on secondary bedroom and kitchen. Kitchen is definitely ready for an update but it was functional and well equipped so no complaints from us. The view of the ocean trumps anything negative you could find. Breathtaking views! Parking and access to beach were a little complicated but it’s probably the best they could do with tight space. One hot tub was under construction while we were there but we never use it anyway so that didn’t put us out at all.

Wonderful accommodations with magnificent views. Staff on site are friendly and helpful as - of course at Garden City Realty who responded quickly to to question we had. The environmental services staff are thorough and made check in quick and easy.
Never a question on where to stay and with whom to make reservations.

Our experience with Garden City Realty was a very nice one. Robin was very helpful on the phone when we called to rent the condo. The check-in process went very smoothly. At check-out no one was at the office at 8:30 and we felt a little uncomfortable leaving the keys in the key drop. We are seniors and like to do things face to face.
The property was very nice. We liked that it was gated. The updated bathrooms were excellent. I was able to take my bath chair and use it with the handheld shower head. This was so helpful since I am waiting for hip replacement.
On that line, the elevators were handy to parking and we never had to wait much at all. The pool was very accessible as well as the beach.
The kitchen needs to be updated but we didn't do much cooking anyway. It was clean and it looked like most anything you would need was there.
Overall, we were very pleased with our stay.

We stayed at this same condo last year and mentioned some things in the review which were not changed. Plus the review was not published. The condo was very clean and mostly well maintained. The washer & dryer are now new. However, the blinds on the main windows still don't work right, the shower curtain in the master bath still needs to be replaced, the glass shelf in the second bath is in a dangerous location and there is still no cover on the living room AC receptacle. Also, the hot water tank is not adequate to fill the master bath tub to the height for the jets to work. Finally, there could be better patio furniture and a baking pan for pizza in the kitchen. Overall, the condo was OK but, the parking garage design is horrible and there is only one beach access for the entire building, which is very inconvenient at busy times.

We had a great stay even through a pandemic. The complex wasn't busy at all. One problem was that the stove took 30 minutes to boil a small pot of water and the oven took 40 minutes to preheat to 375. With what looks like a newer microwave, I wish they would have also replaced the stove. It still worked so I didn't complain. People just need to know that if planning to cook a meal. Also, we had 4 guests and there are only 3 balcony chairs. We had to pull a beach chair outside. No big complaints. The condo was clean and ready when we arrived. We would stay again but avoid cooking and bring a larger camping chair for the balcony next time.

We were very pleased with the condo - unit 602. It was decorated well, clean, alot of upgrades. The only suggestion is that the balcony on the furniture could be updated. Only 3 chairs provided and a table that were white plastic. We noticed other units that had very nice furniture on their balconies.

We love Garden City in Sept but unfortunately we had to evacuate after one night. Travel insurance is a must. One Ocean Place is a great place to stay on the beach with easy access & fabulous oceanfront views.

We had a great time. Location was great. I wasn't real pleased with the parking. It was very tight and full. Each unit should have at least one designated parking space. When each unit has multiple parking passes, it isn't fair to others that pay to stay there and have no place to park. The parking passes over the first one per unit, should be the one that needs to park elsewhere, ie street. The Condo unit was clean and spacious. I did report to Garden City Realty that the window blinds would not open in the master bedroom or living room. They seemed to be broken. And the shower curtain in the master bath did not work properly either. The master bath also has a garden tub which is hard to get in and out of to shower and the shower facet is in the middle of the wall and very hard to reach over the tub to turn on. The water could also be turned up a little for hotter water. These are all minor issues. We had a great time all and all.

This is a nice condo, and will be really nice once the master bath and kitchen have been remodeled to match the updated guest bath. The only issue we had was the main sliding glass door to the balcony sticks, and is nearly impossible to open from the balcony side unless you leave the door a bit open. Other than that, we had a great stay.

The owners of this vacation home have renovated family room, dining area, both bedrooms and 1 bath, plus all new floors and doors. They still have the ancient kitchen filled with worn out and ill matched pots, pans, dishes and silverware. The porch furniture and cushions are tired and master bath needs an update. I believe when that is done it will be beautiful, but not yet.

Large portion has been remolded. Vanity in master needs replacing and kitchen cabinet under sink. We enjoyed this condo and found it very pleasant. Would rent it again. Furniture was newly replaced.

Great oceanfront location with a scenic view from the extra large balcony on the sixth floor. All of the indoor seating was comfortable and so were the beds. The balcony chairs were not comfortable. There was plenty of closet and drawer space . The kitchen was small and fairly well equipped but could use some updating. The master bath could also use some updating but was functional. The other bathroom was updated. I thought both baths needed a grab bar in the shower. Rental company was GREAT. Would rent again.

We liked the 6th floor location-high enough that noise from the pool area was no problem. Views were great with all the floor to ceiling windows. The elevators in the tower were quick-no long waits! The unit could benefit from a refrigerator with an ice maker. The landline telephone in the unit did not work.

It was awesome! The room was exactly as described on the rental site. It was very clean, and the living room furniture was comfortable. The oceanfront deck was roomy, and we spent many hours there. We also loved having an oceanfront bedroom. Listening to the ocean waves at night was very soothing. The only complaint we have is with the king mattress. It was firm, but not that comfortable. It wasn't unbearable, and we have had much worse. We would definitely stay there again.

May be time to get a new comforter for the master bedroom, it was quite worn but other than that, no complaints! The building itself was in really great shape, plenty of parking and just an all around great place to stay!

My family of four stayed here as a vacation/move in to Coastal Carolina housing. This was our second time in Garden City area and I like that it is a bit quieter than Myrtle or North Myrtle, which is ideal for relaxing. The unit itself was comfortable enough. It was clean when we arrived. We watched dolphins every morning from the balcony. My only complaint would be the dated kitchen and bathroom cabinets. The location however made up for that.

Great condo, great views. Building and pools/hot tubs were well maintained. The specific unit we stayed in has had some updates but at a minimum the countertops are going to need some attention. The unit was a great size and perfect for our family. Overall the unit was clean but the carpets are dirty and stained and need cleaned.

Dealing with people is the major requirement of my job. Our stay at One Ocean Place provided quiet, great view and very comfortable accommodations. The sound of the ocean was relaxing and helped erase the clutter that can accumulate in our minds throughout the year. We would not hesitate to return to One Ocean Place.

I was very pleased with my stay. The condo was beautiful and had everything I could possibly need for a comfortable stay. I loved walking out onto the balcony and being right on the ocean and walking right out onto the beach. The rental process was quick and efficient. I loved the location too, it was centrally located and just a short ride to shopping and restaurants. I could easily walk to the piers at Surfside or Garden City. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would certainly recommend this rental. I had all the comforts of home at the beach!!

Love the Garden City area for family vacation. Great condo. Awesome ocean views! Condo was spotless and beautifully decorated. Well-equipped kitchen. I agree with previous review that a hand grip is needed for the Jacuzzi tub. Definitely plan to return and stay in same condo.

The location is fantastic. Right on the beach, two pools, clean unit. My only comment is that the realty company needs to provide more toilet paper and garbage bags. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper for a family of 4 for a week is not going to cut it. Also, only 1 trash bag per trash can, needed a few more but luckily we had a lot of plastic grocery sacks and made do.

We spent a lot of time on the balcony overlooking the ocean. We could watch the sun come up over the water from our window. The condo is a little dated but the view and amenities more than make up for an old coffee pot!! We had a great time!!

602 One Ocean Place was a great place to stay! The view is amazing!!! We had a great time and hope to return. Condo was clean (maybe a little dated) but we spent all our time outside or on the patio. The staff at One Ocean Place was great. They were very friendly and very helpful. Only complaint I have is there is very little parking for high top vehicles. We had a topper on our mini van and were unable to park in the parking garage. There are a few reserved spots for high top vehicles but many times we would return to the condo and have no where to park because vehicles that could fit in the parking garage choose to park in the high top vehicle parking, making this an inconvenience for us.
