2018 Notice: Water's Edge 809 has completed a major renovation. The condo has all new tiled flooring, fresh paint throughout and new furniture. Both bathrooms have been totally redone with tiled shower stalls, new flooring, lighting and vanities. Waters Edge 809 is a one-bedroom, two-bath oceanfront condo located 0.6 miles north of Garden City Pier. This condo includes a fully-equipped kitchen complete with granite counters, dishwasher, and microwave, furnished private balcony, washer, dryer, and central heat and air conditioning. Other amenities include Wi-Fi, two flat-screen color TVs (cable) and DVD player. Sleeping accommodations include one queen-sized bed and one queen sofa bed. Common area amenities include an outdoor swimming pool with swim-through to interior pool (excluding October-April when the indoor pool is heated), indoor/outdoor hot tub, outdoor showers, two elevators, on-site gift shop, lounge, and restaurant, and ample covered parking. No trailers or golf carts. No smoking. No pets. Check-out maid service is included. Linens not included. Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other attractions include Marlin Quay Marina, Gulf Stream Cafe, Original Sam's Corner, and Sara J's Seafood Restaurant.
Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community that is considered to be the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina", but is also home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning seafood and barbecue restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.
Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of Murrells Inlet. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures placed in them, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems and the Lowcountry Zoo.
If you're looking for places to shop, Inlet Square Mall, The Market Common, Coastal Grand, Myrtle Beach Mall, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, countless strip-malls, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach. Looking for some entertainment, take in a show at Alabama Theater, Medieval Times, The Carolina Opry, Pirates Voyage, and Legends in Concert. And don't forget about Ripley's Aquarium, Alligator Adventure, Hard Rock Cafe, Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.
Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.
Surfside Beach, Garden City Beach and Murrells Inlet are all close to Waccamaw Hospital and several urgent care facilities.

The condo was as clean and updated as pictured. Very nice place to stay. The resort building was clean, the staff very friendly. This condo is well situated for evening activities. We will be back.

Views are amazing. Watching dolphins frolicking in the ocean and the sound of the waves was impressive. The condo was totally brand new from the kitchen, two full baths to the comfy beachy furniture. The two full bathrooms, with walk-in showers, were a great addition. Everything in the condo worked perfectly and it was very clean. The bar downstairs was convenient with friendly patrons and bar staff. Lots of stores, restaurants and entertainment close by. You can fish off the beach or on the nearby pier. Amazing sunrises. We were luckily enough to have nice weather at 70's in the daytime. On the rare occasion it did sprinkle it was nice to have underground parking. The condo photos are accurate. The condo personnel on-site were very friendly and helpful. The Garden City Realty rental office were delightful to work with. We will be back.
