The Clodhopper was great. It was all that it was described to be. The location was wonderful, house was big enough for 7. It was not full of "wow" amenities, but the price was appropriate. Would certainly rent here again.- Anonymous from Troy, Posted: 07/10/2023
My wife and I have loved staying at the Clodhopper for many years now. Always a great time. This year, their manager BJ was really helpful in getting a parking problem with people illegally parking trailers and trucks in front of the property and blocking the driveway, resolved.- JAMES R. from BALTIMORE, Posted: 05/23/2023
room was clean, great back porch, perfect location!- Anonymous from Winnsboro, Posted: 08/01/2022
Garden city realty was great to rent from.
For the most part the house was clean. The kitchen cookware could use an update. Overall it was a good place to stay.- April M. from Christiansburg, Posted: 06/27/2022
Had a great time as always. The Clodhopper suits our needs perfectly.- James R. from Baltimore, Posted: 06/07/2022
As always we enjoyed our stay at the charming Clodhopper. It suits our needs perfectly.- JAMES R. from BALTIMORE, Posted: 05/18/2021
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Clodhopper (Aug 18-25). It is an older home with small bathrooms, but it served our needs nicely.- Celeen L. from New Lebanon, Posted: 08/27/2018
We have been staying at the Clodhopper for Bike Week for many years. A nice retro-style beach home that fits our needs nicely.- JAMES R. from BALTIMORE, Posted: 05/22/2018
Awesome stay! House was just as advertised. Not fancy but "old school." Great location, clean, and comfortable. Would definitely rent again.- Anonymous from Lexington, Posted: 09/09/2017
A great rental we've been staying in for many years. Comfortable and homey.- James R. from Baltimore, Posted: 05/23/2017
The property was exactly as described. The bedrooms and baths were smaller than expected, but were ample size. The property was cleaned and well maintained. I enjoyed the large front porch and the easy beach access. We had an incident of losing power due to a transformer problem. The maintenance dept had the Power company out almost immediately and 45 minutes after the call we were good to go. I am using this company again for my next booking, but will be booking a larger property due to a larger group of people traveling with us. Very good experience with Garden City Realty Co.- Anonymous from Easley, Posted: 07/18/2016
This was my fourth visit to the Murrell's Inlet area and I really like the houses that we have rented and the beach that we frequent. One thing about this house that I thought should have been better is the cleanliness. There was paper under one of the chairs in the living room that should have been vacuumed and the smaller bathroom did not seem very clean.- Celeen L. from New Lebanon, Posted: 08/31/2015
The house was nice, very convenient, and would be the perfect home if it was ocean view, which we did not mind, we housed 8 people very comfortably. Minus the bee nests.- Paul M. from Point Plesant, Posted: 08/24/2015
We really enjoyed our stay at the Clodhopper in Garden City. The house was clean and relaxing. We loved the front and back porches, as well as the out side showers. A favorite aspect of this house is that it is very close to a beach access. We highly recommend this house for a calm, quiet, refreshing vacation spot. Also, the location is wonderful. It isn't too far from the pier. And you have quick access to high way 17. We visited Broad way at the Beach, Ripley's Aquarium. and the free fireworks. Restaurant wise we dined at Texas Roadhouse and Prossers BBQ in Murrels Inlet.- Valerie D. from Olive hill, Posted: 08/04/2015

home needs a little updating when we arrived home wasn't cleaned.
very well but all in all enjoyed our stay would stay there again- Daphne P. from Scranton, Posted: 04/13/2015
We enjoyed our stay at the Clodhopper. The beds were very comfortable, plenty of television sets, plenty of cooking ware and dishes, pretty much all you need. The house is rated for 8 people. We only had 5 the first 3 days of our stay. When the other arrived (8 of us now )the house got a little small. The public access to the beach is very close by. The only real drawback is that you can not see the ocean from the house.- Charles C. from Winston Salem, Posted: 09/01/2014
could not see the ocean for the hotels was only complaint- Randy B. from Hickory, Posted: 07/21/2014
We were very happy with our stay at The Clodhopper. The house was very nice, everything that we needed was there. It was a wonderful place for the grandkids to play...a very nice front porch, back deck and backyard. Can't say enough how much we liked the place.
Thank you!- Anonymous from New Straitsville, Posted: 06/24/2014
We had a great vacation in the Clodhopper rental. The property had a great location and all of the amenities that we needed. The furniture and cleanliness was average but everything else was above our expectations. Great property for the price!- Elsie S. from Tuscaloosa, Posted: 05/26/2014
We've been renting this charming 50s style cottage for years now. It always feels like we're coming home when we arrive.- James R. from Baltimore, Posted: 05/24/2014
House was very well equipped with kitchen supplies and situated well for the size of our family. we had a wonderful time and wished we could have stayed longer. we met one of the owners of the house and she was very nice. Beds were comfortable and rooms spacious. our vacation was very restful. We would recommend this house to others.- Silva P. from Grayson, Posted: 08/05/2013
Nice home, very close to the beach.- Angie S. from Taylors, Posted: 08/01/2013
We've stayed at the Clodhopper several times and each time we have very much enjoyed our visit. The property needs a few updates, but is very comfortable and homey!- Kathi S. from Hiram, Posted: 07/23/2013
loved the location - close walk to beach and other attractions.- Anonymous from Greenville, Posted: 07/01/2013
Great little vintage style cottage which fills our needs perfectly. Easy parking, new comfortable beds, large fully equipped kitchen and wifi.- James R. from Baltimore, Posted: 05/21/2013
Clodhopper is an older beach house but very cozy. We felt right at home. The beds where very comfortable. Loved the front porch and deck on the back. The area is close to a lot of attractions, stores etc. Great for just adults and/or families with kids of all ages. The beach was easily accessible, right across the street. The only thing was the condos in front, not much of a view plus a little more crowded on the beach then we are used to. Repairs may be needed to some minor things inside and the front stair case should be repaired and or replaced soon (a few steps are warping and coming up and the railing is getting loose). All in all it was a wonderful stay.- Anonymous from Reisterstown, Posted: 09/10/2012
We loved the quant setting of this house. The house is tucked away from the road a little bit which helped with getting in and out of the property. Loved the Knotty Pine paneling throughout the house.

Great time had by all. Loved the screened porch in the front and deck in the back.- Anonymous from Conway, Posted: 07/16/2012
This is the second time we've stayed at the Clodhopper. We enjoy the property very much. It is a very comfortable cottage. The addition of the second shower was great considering we had four teenagers traveling with us! The location of the house is great...within walking distance to "The Corner," but far enough away from it to minimize the noise. We met the owner this year and she is a gem.- Kathi S. from Hiram, Posted: 07/09/2012
We have stayed at the Clodhopper for many years during Bike Week and always enjoy it. It fits our needs perfectly. A lot of rain this year so having the washer and drier was good. A few improvements have helped make this quaint little cottage even better.- James R. from Baltimore, Posted: 05/21/2012
the house was clean, great location !! The only complaint would be the stove burners were uneven, the beds could be updated. little lumpy and hard. My family had a great time on our vacation. Thank you, would stay again.we had an easy check-in no problems.- John W. from Bealton, Posted: 08/29/2011
We had a great time. The weather and location were perfect.- Diane S. from Coumbia, Posted: 06/13/2011
A cute 50's style cottage. Pleasantly suprised by the addition of a second upstairs shower and TVs in all the bedrooms. Cable internet was a big help.- JAMES R. from BALTIMORE, Posted: 05/24/2011
