I've stayed at the Compass Rose since Hugo hit and our old school beach house was swallowed by the Atlantic. I was a young boy then. Today I'm 40 and now I bring my family and three kids to the same place that I grew up vacationing in. My entire family would rent 4 or 5 of the 8 units.I've stayed in almost all of them but we keep returning to #22. We absolutely love it. Perfect views from 2nd floor, not to many steps, wonderfully decorated for the beach and just an all around feel that you belong there. It makes me smile knowing that this place is there waiting for us all winter long and the moment we do return it feels as though we never left.

Location of property was great. Beach is a short walk from house. There was plenty of room for my family of 9. The pool was refreshing after a day at the ocean. The kitchen table and bar stools provided ample room for our family to dine together. There was a small issue, but management was notified and the problem was resolved within the hour. We were pleased and hope to return.

Great balcony & view! Building had perfect beach access, and deck area ; beautiful pools/ hot tubs! I liked that it had a small "convenience store" for limited items, and a snack shack. It was nice to park under the roof of a Parking garage. The actual unit was nicely furnished & decorated. Although, it was not cleaned well prior to our arrival.

Three day stay was enjoyable. Surfmaster is right on the water, nice outdoor pools & hot tub. Condo is well maintained and has all the modern conveniences including a well-stocked kitchen (appliances). Only complaint in regard to apartment is the keys did not easily unlock and lock the door; required a lot of jiggling to get the door to lock/unlock. Last comment is on parking. Condo sleeps 4 but only one parking pass is given to park on site. This was ok for us since it was only the two of us staying and we were there for bike week & we parked our trailer and truck off site. If another couple rented with us that would have been very inconvenient.

Absolutely love this adorable pre-Hugo beach house. Warm, comfortable and very peaceful. Close enough to other locations but far enough from the hub bub of Myrtle Beach to be a true beach experience.

We love the property everything was maintained very well gorgeous condo everything was perfect except for on Wednesday our cable went out they came to fix it on Thursday but they could only fix the TV in the living room and I had my elderly mom and dad with me which that was a big part of their entertainment during the vacation so really that that was her only complaint.

This is a beautiful house. Only issue was sliders off living room would not open on one side and the other side was super hard to open and close. That was the most convenient way to the pool.
