This house is typical old school beach house. No frills but all you need for the perfect beach vaca. House is nicely decorated and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed both of the large decks/porches. Location is great. The only con is because of no dishwasher the house could really use a dish strainer/dryer. We loved this house and plan to book for our 2023 trip!

Our place was in a great location. Condo was beautiful. Had the basic necessities we needed. Only complaint was that I reported a picture that fell in the twin bedroom at 4:00 a.m. and also the light would not work in the master bedroom closet, but no one responded or came out to repair problem. Other than that we have no other complaints.

We were very pleased with the Surf Master rental. Unit 511 was very nicely done and very comfortable. Oceanfront location can’t be beat! We would definitely recommend this unit. We will stay again!

We had a great time and no major complaints about the house itself, but we would have liked more of a heads up that the King's Tide was coming in and some accommodation for our cars during that time. We didn't receive an email about it until the day after it started. We were incredibly lucky that our vehicles didn't suffer any damages while parked at the house; the water rose so high as to enter our tailpipe. After that, we made sure to park outside of the neighborhood, which was a hassle. Otherwise, we had a nice time and the house was an easy walking distance to the beach.

Note: we were informed by locals that the King's Tide only come in once a quarter, so our specific timing was unlucky. We really just needed more warning beforehand.

Terre Haute

This is our third time staying at the Compass Rose and second time in unit 32. Our family of five loves it here! You couldn't ask for a better location on the beach in a nice uncrowded area with fantastic views of the surf in the front and breathtaking sunsets from the back balcony over the Inlet. The kitchen is fully stocked with top of the line appliances and nice cookware. The pool is an added bonus! We already booked again for next year.

It's been a pleasure

It has been a pleasure knowing and dealing with Drew and his staff for the past five years. This is our first experience owning a condo and he has made our experience stress free knowing that anytime there is any kind of an issue or crisis, such as the recent Hurricane Florence, Drew keeps us updated and informed about our property. Living in New York and owning a condo in SC is difficult but with Drew informing us of any issues our minds are at ease. For example, there was a problem with the HVAC but Drew and Dan contacted the appropriate vendor and the problem was solved. In conclusion, our experience at Surf Master and knowing Drew and his staff are a pleasurable one.
