First off, I want to say Garden City Realty is wonderful! They are great to rent from, we’ve rented from them before, I’m sure we’ll do so again. The cottage at Wachesaw was very nice, great location, very quiet. The water heater was turned off, my husband found the breaker behind a picture on the wall. There wasn’t a couch, only chairs, and no living room lamps, only overhead lighting. The bathtub was missing the plug. Overall, it’s a beautiful property, very spacious. Very beautiful area for walks. However, when we arrived at the gate the first day, we showed the lady at the guard house our parking pass from Garden City Realty, no problem at all. When we went out and came back, there was a man at the guard house who was very rude! He told us Garden City Realty wasn’t allowed to give us those parking passes that we can’t get in with that, I told him it got us in earlier that day. I understand there are security protocols, but, he didn’t have to be so rude about it, he was very condescending, he didn’t want to hear anything we had to say. We’ve stayed at the cottages previously, no problems at all. Other than him, we had a pleasant stay.

Beach House 216 is our favorite condo. The location is, in our opinion, just right. 2nd floor and in the middle seems to be great for views up and down the beach from the deck.

The condo was well stocked and decorated nicely. The kitchen was pretty well supplied with tools/pans (etc) so we don't have to bring much extra (other than my favorite sharp knife!)

Check-in and out procedures are a breeze. I love getting the "your condo is ready" text message when we are driving into Garden City. Checking out is also super easy, just one call to housekeeping, close the door and you're done. Nice.

We stayed at Horizon East for the second time. Beautiful condos with wonderful views. This time we stayed in Condo 101. We absolutely loved it! Had the best time. Friendly people! And Krispy Kreme is just a short distance away!!!

Great place so these are picky things like if I lived there for longer periods: Screened door is more aggravating than useful. Better location for toilet paper holder in second bathroom—may need to be freestanding. More effective vacuum—I acknowledge it’s the beach but there’s been sand on the balcony floor when we arrived both years.
