Awesome,we all enjoyed the house ,we cooked almost everyday breakfast and dinner,afun kitchen. The children really enjoyed it and being on the beach was perfect. Coffee on the porch and watching the sun rise every morning.

The mattress on the king sz bed was VERY comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and other items. The unit did not have a DVD player in the living area. It would be great to have curtains instead of the very aggravating blinds in the living area as well as the master bedroom. Rental listing from Garden City Rentals stated renters had use of owners personal beach items, i.e. beach chairs, umbrellas, etc., which was not true. Good thing we brought our own items!!

Overall, we highly recommend this unit!!!!

Three generations rented Barefeet Retreat, including 2 boys 8 and 10. The house was modern, clean, well stocked with a nice 2nd story porch. Lots of steps to contend with. The beach, arcade and Sams Corner were just a few steps from our door. We spent a whole week spending time at each place without needing a car. We also had a community pool to enjoy. Also the pier was close by with live music at night. I recommend this place for a family get together.

A beautiful condo that exceeded our expectations! We have stayed at Surfmaster many times and by far this is our favorite unit. After several hours of travel with 3 children, it was so nice to come into a lovely, very clean and beautifully decorated place to stay for the week. I didn't feel that I needed to spend any time cleaning before we settled in. The beds were made and bathrooms clean. Beds were comfortable - great sizes for each room. Washer/Dryer is so useful to be able to wash towels every day. Love the location! Beautiful views! We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this unit! Very Satisfied! 5 Stars!

A couple of simple recommendations for the owners: sleeping pillows definitely need replacing in room with two beds, beach chairs that remain with the unit would be a great bonus, a tv in all bedrooms would be nice when everyone is settling in for the night, we bought a few small items for the kitchen that we needed and left with the unit but might want to add a muffin pan, a few more eating utensils(forks/spoons) and storage containers for food that stay with the unit

This place is spectacular. Extremely clean. All the amenities we needed. Wonderful to have a washer & dryer right in the unit. The building staff kept the are immaculately clean. Check-in was super easy. Check-out simple too. Love how easily we could access the beach. Ample parking too. Loved it!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Grammy's Playhouse. The office agents were very helpful when we came into town and had an issue with our previously reserved rental house (with a private owner). We were settled in a new rental within an hour. Thank you Jamie! My only complaint would be that there was a good deal of dog hair from the previous occupant's pet. Given this is a pet-friendly house and we brought our dogs too, we were understanding of this and just pulled out the broom to sweep again. The house is considered third row, but the beach access is a straight shot from Yucca Ave and it was less than a 3 min walk before we had our toes in the sand. All in all, we loved it.

This condo was perfect for my family and friends. The loft area suited my 3 older teenagers perfectly! They loved having their own balcony. The kitchen was equipped with everything I needed, and some. The den furniture looked very updated and was super comfortable. The bedrooms downstairs were great sizes, and the beds slept wonderfully! My only negative, the Bathrooms were small. I would definitely stay here again.

I would have the description of the bed size changed to the actual size. It was advertise as a Queen but it was actually a full size. Makes a differenc. The bed also folded in the middle, made it a very uncomfortable sleep. Please update the mattress.
