We were very pleased with our stay. We especially loved the beach access right across the street and the proximity to all the area has to offer. There was really only one complaint we had from our stay. We bought a dozen doughnuts and put them on the counter only to find them covered in ants when we returned from one of our day trips. We called and reported the an issue to maintenance but no one ever returned the call. I then went to the front desk to report the problem and they said they would send someone out while we were out. When we returned no one had come and we had to call back again only to have a maintenance worker come by and hand us a can of wasp and hornet killer to use on our own. Ant problem got better but was still never completely resolved. Other than this one thing (besides someone nearby shooting fireworks until midnight every night) we had a great stay. We would definitely stay again. Just need a little work on maintenance issues.

We enjoyed our time at the Avery Cottage. The location and accommodations were just what we expected. We did feel that the Cottage is due for some updating and general repairs though.
It needs a little TLC. The property included linens and towels for our stay and that was a wonderful plus not to have to bring all that extra along. I would recommend the Avery Cottage for a lovely stay in Garden City, SC.

We stayed at this property for a ladies' weekend getaway, and we really enjoyed our stay! The house has so much space and a great kitchen (which we used to cook a huge weekend breakfast). The view from the TWO decks is fantastic! The house is beginning to show some age and a little TLC would be good (external painting, some water damage on the ceiling, etc), but overall, it was a great location for a great weekend.

Enjoyed our stay. Everything in the condo was in good condition. The only negative was the elevator had an odor, but I'm sure this was due to people coming off the beach and the pool wet.

The kitchen was probably the most well-stocked with utensils of any of the many large homes I have rented. The biggest drawback was there was only one standard size refrigerator and a mini fridge upstairs, which was too inconvenient for our use. We supplemented by putting drinks in an ice chest downstairs and continually replenishing the ice. There was only one working coffee maker, so we purchased another and left it as our gift. When we arrived, the sliding glass door on the ocean side was damaged. The glass was completely out of the frame. Someone came right away to check it out, but it was the next morning when someone who could repair it came. We appreciated the quick attention because it was a huge nuisance going in and out. Overall, I was very pleased with the customer service from the rental agency. The owner of this home needs to make a few upgrades, i.e. the living room sofas need replacing. The range needs to be replaced. Also, I recommend that the people that clean the house always replace burned out light bulbs. There were bulbs out in every room and only one working on the oceanside lower deck. Additionally lights need to be added to the oceanside stairs. They are very treacherous at night without lighting.

Had a great time at Heaven Can Wait! Location of the property was wonderful and amenities were great (pool and hot tub). Areas of improvement would be to add a grill, fix latch on back deck gate and ensure all bathrooms are clean (one was not and needed a new shower liner) Otherwise, the property and location were as advertised and accommodated our group comfortably.
