Columbia

Pros: Great location - easy walk to the beach, pier and arcade, with beautiful views of the inlet and nice, partial view of the ocean.
Spacious living area and table seats up to 8 with more stools at the kitchen bar. Comfortable, but dated.
Cons: Needs amenities like wi-fi (for people who work remotely, kids on i-pads, etc.)and extended TV channels (we had to leave the house with a 3-year-old and infant to watch Coastal win the National Baseball Championship). Some updating needed to sliding glass doors - they are a little dangerous with small children.
Take the kids to Wild, Water and Wheels - Sunday and Monday they have good rates!!
Pirate Ship ride in Murrell's Inlet was fun for the 3-year-old, but a little pricey ($25.00 per person for about an hour ride)
Overall, we had a fun stay with the family.

Enjoyed our stay at Compass Rose. The unit was comfortable. The only issue we had was with the pool. The pool was never cleaned throughout the week and it continued to get dirtier and dirtier as the week progressed.

The place was great with lots of room. However wifi doesn't work well, and the bedroom master window is so thin it sounds like its open all the time, so trying to sleep was rough, especially with the 4am truck coming in and out. Beach access is woderful though. Pool was very nice.

The condo was perfect almost everything been updated, the water it's so close and clean , my only complaint is that Queen size bed in the master room should be a king bed ??

The property was in a great location and clean. It was well stocked with cooking supplies. We cooked in 5 of our 7 night stay and found everything we needed to prepare our meals. The beds were very comfortable and having 3 bathrooms was fantastic. (5 adults and 3 children in our group).

We have stayed in several different condos at the Surfmaster and this was one of my favorites for several reasons: comfortable furniture in the living room, well furnished kitchen, 1st floor location (which meant no waiting on elevator) and the view! We have always been pleased with the Surfmaster because of the effort the entire staff puts into making your stay and pleasant experience. The grounds are always clean and neat, the staff is friendly, accommodating and efficient.

Mountain Home

The townhouse was very nice, perfect beach access, but was alittle frustrating having to deal with "ants" the 1st 3 days. And was quite disappointed with the parking, was very difficult with a Dodge Ram truck to park inside not outside parking area

Very nice stay overall. I did feel that the floors could have been more thoroughly cleaned. That being said, we were pleased overall with our stay.

This was a fantastic vacation for my family! We had a great stay! The house was beautiful! It was clean and ready on time. Having the pool & the beach was wonderful not to mention the hot tub!! I had to call the management people once and they were very quick to respond and very nice/helpful.

From the first moment that we walked into this condo, we were blown away! It looked nice in the pictures, but it was even better in person. The view is absolutely beautiful, from the balcony and from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room. It is the perfect place to watch the sunrise! It was spotless, and we never saw a single bug. The furniture was very nice - the couch looked brand new. The beds were very comfy. I was glad that the linen package was included in the price, and the beds were already made when we arrived (one less thing to do, and more time to spend on the beach!). There are life guards at the beach in front of the building. Guests are allowed to park two cars on site, but Garden City Realty has a parking lot available for extra cars - just ask them about it and they will tell you where it is and give you parking passes for it. This came in very handy for us, because we were a group of 8 people coming from 4 different places, so we had 4 cars. The only suggestion I have is that a map of the building would make things a lot easier. It took us a while to figure out which elevator to take to get to our condo, how to get to the pool, how to get to the beach, where the luggage carts were located (ground floor near the elevators), etc. We ate at the Conch Cafe next door for lunch one day, and it was excellent! It was a wonderful vacation that went by way too fast! I would love to stay at One Ocean Place 804 again!

This is the second time we have stayed in this home and the many problems experienced the first time have all been corrected. Additionally, the owner has replaced all the carpeting with some kind of artificial wood flooring which looks and feels very nice, but is tough enough for the beach, a real improvement. There were some minor repair issues which I passed on to the management which did not affect the quality of our stay.

Plusses.
Large house, many bedrooms, absolutely fabulous eating gathering much enjoyed as our 3 generation family of 14 celebrated out 50th anniversary. Great beach, not very crowded. Convenient location.

Minuses. low water pressure in baths, large second refrigerator would have been handy, but we worked around that with coolers. Range does not vent to outside. We grilled almost every meal, so this was not a factor for us.

Conclusion: highly recommended for a group that likes to eat together and spend a lot of time by the ocean and the pool and the large porch.
