JimMelLou is a very dated and basic house but that also helps make it a fantastic value. There's a ton of parking room and space inside. Location is great and the house is very functional. Private beach access is great but there's also a public access directly adjacent with a ramp for your wagon. Although dated, the house is good condition and clean. Some things we ran into that were minor maintenance issues you may run into. The outdoor showers need pull handles, the originals rusted off. The light over the card table has a sketchy plug. HVAC vents could use cleaning. Kitchen floor has a raised joint ready to peel. Fridge handle was duct taped. The only thing that gives pause for staying here a third year is the beds. All of them are downright awful. They're just uncomfortable and tough to get a good night's sleep on.

We stayed in the same place as last year, #108. The place is great. We just had to leave 5 days early due to the hurricane. We didn't take the travel insurance but it would have been nice if Garden City realty would have given us 5 days at a later date. Instead we just lost our money. My husband has stage 4 cancer and this was most likely his last vacation with us. We will be back next year and Lord willing he will make it too.

This was our first family vacation. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. Mariposa is a beautiful home and it was more than accommodating for my family. The five boy cousins were tucked away in their "wing" with their own bathroom. My granddaughter loved her room and private bath. Three bedrooms over looking the ocean was heaven. The kitchen was perfect. My sons were the chefs and had more than enough room. Being on the ocean was amazing. We are ocean, water people and being on the ocean was the best. Just walk down, take a dip and come home to relax in the pool or hot tub. The grandkids all want to do this again next year. Our only complaint was that the hot tub was not working properly and we needed a few service calls before the problem was resolved,

We really enjoyed our stay at Abernethy Cottage. The bungalow was reminiscent of beach houses of the past. The home was extremely clean and well taken care of. The location was perfect. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the waves come in on the beach. The only suggestion I’d offer is to invest in some new living room furniture. The material on the couch and loveseat was dingy and appeared soiled. We really didn’t want to sit on them.
The staff at Garden City Reality was extremely helpful and great to deal with. We have rented a number of beach houses from them in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

Garden City never disappoints. We love the Surfmaster property. Family of 9 and we were for the most part very comfortable. The condo really needs updating. Overall it was fine, but way too much furniture and and decor is very outdated. I wasn't there for decor but with all the furniture in there and the old patio chairs....We had a great location though..I would love to rent again, but...there are much nicer ones with a better feeling inside and on the patio. I did love everything about Garden city
