I was completely satisfied with the condo but not a happy camper with management. I had received an email to go offsite to checkin (Garden City Realty Office) and after standing in a line for 45 minutes, I was told they did not have my keys. I had a copy of my email with me and lady made a call and said they are in your room. She apologized for the inconvenience. Sunday I dropped the signed agreement in the slot as instructed and got an email Monday afternoon said they didn’t have it and would change door lock if not responded by Tuesday. 11:00. Never heard from them again. No confirmation, no nothing!

Our family has stayed in another condo at this location for several years but first year staying in 1K. Condo was clean, kitchen was okay with only minimal supplies, master bed could be tightened so bed doesn't shift when one moves, overall nice condo. We'll be back to A Place at the Beach!

Fort Mill

The size and location of the unit was really nice. Having a washer and dryer was convenient. The only down side, and its not really a big deal is the unit could use updating.

My family recently stayed at the Whalecome Inn and everyone had a great time! The house was very clean and well kept. The pool was awesome and the backyard area was very nice. It was just a short walk to the beach which made things very manageable for the beach lovers in our group. The only thing I would maybe suggest would be adding a half bathroom on the main floor for convenience. Overall, we had a great stay and would highly recommend the house!

This is the second year we have stayed in this condo, the only bad experience we had this year is that we didn’t get into the Condo until 8:15 Saturday night, we got there at 5:30 that afternoon after driving 13 hours and had to wait that long to get into it. I had gotten an email saying it might not be ready on time because of employee shortage but never thought we would have to wait that long to get in.

Beautiful house and a wonderful location close to the beach. Extremely well stocked kitchen. This house is a true family house with lots to do for little ones. There was a nice collection of games, puzzles and small toys available. Definitely would recommend this house to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at Channel Marker 306. Loved that it was right on the beach, and the balcony overlooked the beach/ocean! The rental unit was sufficient for our needs. It was just the right size for our family of 4. It is not super updated, but everything works and functions properly and does not look bad either. We would recommend this unit!

We've used Garden City before, and will use them again. Their office personnel are great, and their properties are very clean and well maintained. One caveat: You should plan to get access to your rental property closer to 5:00-5:15, rather than their policy check-in time of 4:00.
