The beds were comfortable.
The kitchen was nice. We could have used more silverware for our crew though.
The ice maker was a great plus!

The upstairs was open and bright with a beautiful view.
The lock to the home was not working properly but with one call Josh came in no time and fixed that quickly. Could not have asked for more.

This house was perfect for our family of 5. Each of my teen kids had their own room and there was plenty of room for all of us in the main area of the house. The location was perfect and my kids enjoyed walking to the pier every day. We especially enjoyed the covered back patio in the evenings. Would definitely stay here again!

We were so fortunate to find this place to stay! It seemed like too large a home for 2 people but when our families came down for short stays it was perfect. The view of the ocean were wonderful and the sunrises spectacular! Since it was the winter the pool was not useable but we could sit on the porches and geet plenty of sun and great views. The kitchen was well equipped and it was overall a very comfortable place to stay. The neighbors were so fun to be with and it seemed like we knew them forever.

Light bulbs need to be replaced all throughout the house. You will need a ladder to reach them all.

We have stayed in the Surfside/Garden City area many times over the past 20 years, always in a beachfront condo. This was one of the most pleasant visits ever. The condo was nicely furnished--not fancy, but comfortable. A very nice mattress made all the difference! Nothing to complain about. Clean, comfortable, quiet. We will be back to stay in this condo again.

Overall a great experience with this property. I have rented this property a multiple times and its amazing. Our family loves it! Recently our family acquired a new pet. He's a 45lb Labrador that's currently at 9 months old. When we rented the property it states "pet friendly". Upon check in I was informed that my dog wasn't old enough to stay at the property. GCR states says that the pet must be at least 16 months old and a maximum of 50 lbs. I was informed that management would make an exception but I would be charged a non refundable deposit of $500. After some back and forth with myself and the check in staff, I was informed that they would reduce it to just shy of $400 or I would have to board my pet elsewhere. Luckily for us, were basically locals. I took my pet home and had a friend take care of him while we were vacationing but sadly my children had to go without their pet for a week due to some miscommunications. I strongly suggest reading the fine print about GCR pet policies or you may be stuck paying a fee you were expecting.

I loved that this unit is located in the south building with views of Murrels Inlet. Small touches like lots of hooks to hang clothes, nightlights, a shelf above the primary toilet, full length mirror and a chair to sit on in the bedroom are so nice. Furniture is clean and in good shape except for the mattress, unless you love a very soft, lumpy mattress. I would rent this unit again in a heartbeat if the mattress was replaced. Also pillows are worn and need to be replaced with king size pillows, not standard size. This our second time (stayed in a two bedroom first time) at Surf Master and it is well maintained. Besides the bedding I highly recommend this unit.
