We've rented through Garden City Realty a few times and they are very professional, responsive and very helpful, this time was no exception. Our first day there, the handle on the outer storm door broke and someone from maintenance was there to fix it within 24 hours.
The location of this unit was wonderful! Sitting on the balcony is like being right on the beach. It is right next to beach access, parking and a shower for your sandy feet.
The kitchen has everything you need for meal prep and cooking (and then some!)
The decor is bright and cheery and the unit was spotless.
Beach House is our favorite property in Garden City!

This Surfside Beach vacation was our fourth year in a row in this home. We keep coming back because we love the Surfside/Garden City area, and the location and amenities of this home have exceeded our expectations year after year. The Portofino community offers great parking, easy access to the ocean, convenience of a private beach access with shower, bench, and trashcan for easy clean-up from the beach, and a pool nestled within the 10 houses that is an extra bonus for kids. We always make time for our favorite shopping, dining, and activities Myrtle Beach offers, but this year we squeezed in a few new stops that are definitely worth mentioning. We toured nearby Coastal Carolina University with our rising Senior and even followed the baseball team on television as they competed for a spot in the College World Series. We also visited the Surfside Beach Farmer’s Market (held every Tuesday near the library), and four new restaurants that we’ll definitely revisit: Bovine’s in Murrell’s Inlet, Hamburger Joe’s in Surfside, Rioz Brazilian steakhouse, and the Conch Cafe, which offers oceanfront dining. The layout of the home is ideal for family or friends vacationing together, as each of the four bedrooms has its own full bathroom. We love the ease of parking in this particular unit because you can always overflow into the beach access parking or visitor parking if you had guests over to enjoy the beach. We even moved cars around in the evening to grill, play Cornhole under the house, and make homemade ice cream. Hopefully future guests will find as much to love about this vacation home as we have.

Because of September hurricane there are changes to house. Walkway from house to beach has no shower/foot wash due to partially completed walkway, making sand travel inside house. There is a hose set up under house but one must still walk through sand to enter pool or house. Lower level has no tile flooring, only sealed concrete. There is only one loveseat for seating and no lamps on lower level. Foosball is a good addition. Upstairs, one of three fans has no light and only works on high making it blow way too much during eating.and playing games. There is no vacuum cleaner. There were no mats inside doors to catch sand or trashcans downstairs so we bought some. Pool is great with upgrade in loungers. All beds were comfy. And closetlike room for outside bath was operational with toilet and shower. With high tide, water did come up to steps but we could beach walk to right but not to left.

Mostly my wife and daughter stayed and they had a great time. this house looked out over the marsh and view was awesome. we plan on renting this house again in the future.

Condo was clean and everything worked as it should. Had a partial ocean view. Parking is limited to one vehicle which was surprising and disappointing for a two bedroom unit with family from different states.

Nice 1 bedroom place, clean. A little cramped for our liking, but it was a good weeklong retreat to the beach.

It did get off to a rocky start with the elevators not working and my husband cant walk well. But they started to work the second day . the condo was great and great views .

Overall good, however we could not have a golf cart, other places such as Royal Garden allows them to park out front, don't know why Surf Master does not. Probably will not stay here again because of this.

We love Garden City! Been a favorite vacation spot for years. Loved this unit! We like that it is 2 miles away from all the action of the pier. Makes for quieter times and less crowded beaches. This unit is great. Well stocked. Plenty of seating. It was comfortable and clean! The only problem was the queen size bed in the guest room could use a new mattress, the one there is very soft and you roll to the center. The primary bedroom and the king/bunk room was very comfortable.
