Our Three Suns and a Sea-Gal

The view is spectacular. The outdoor deck is a great place to sit as the sun goes down. Overall, the house is not in the condition shown in the pictures. It needs some maintenance work so that was disappointing, especially for the price. There are better options on that same beach. But that view is pretty great.

We stayed at Three sons and. Seagal from August 23-30. It was a great experience with just a few suggestions. First the house is in need of some serious updates ( considering the price).The downstairs bathroom faucet was stripped in the shower the electrical outlets kept tripping in all bathrooms.And there are no working outside lights especially around the pool area. So it’s very hard to swim after dark. The outdoor showers need updating also and there was trash ( beer cans) in the pool area.But other than that my family had a great vacation and made lots of memories.Also Garden City Realty checked in on us a couple of times making sure everything was okay which we appreciated.The house is beautiful just needs some updating.

Always have had good experience with Garden City Reality. Property was clean, and was exactly what we were looking for. We had a large group. and the other family was in a property .2 miles down road. Hope to be back next year. We would prefer a few weeks earlier in summer, but that is our own fault based on availability when we booked!

The house had all the things we needed. The location was convenient to grocery stores, restaurants, and activities. It did seem like the cleaning crew did spot cleaning as we found things (kids clothing, toothpaste on the wall, and toys) that were not ours. The pool is small but it was super nice to have to take a break from the sun. They did come out to clean it one time while we were there. Could use some new knives. We couldn’t find any decently sharp ones. The house is next to a “public” access that is mainly used by the folks across the street. Not bad just something to note because we had to claim our beach spots in front of the house pretty early in the morning. The kitchen sink pressure is a little low so we used the dishwasher quite a bit. We had plenty of space for our multiple families vacation. Maybe add some more of the higher chairs on the top deck from the living room for better ocean viewing.

Great location and excellent parking. The outside porch and decks are the best layout I have seen. Excellent for families. Wifi speed is outstanding as well as televisions in every room. The property is a bit tired and could use refreshing. Do not expect top of the line decor and furniture because it is below average. The electrical lighting needs help. Outside floodlights do not work and are missing bulbs.Noticed the electric meter box has a hole in the top and an outside breaker box is held open with a bungee cord. The pool is very nice and the heater works great. Big plus. The refrigerator is very very small for a unit that big. Overall good location, good for larger families, but is a tired property in desperate need of some TLC.

We brought 13 of our family to the Myrtle Beach area for a family vacation. All 6 of our grandchildren, ages 13 -5 were experiencing the ocean for the first time. We chose this house because it was right on the beach but also had a pool, which we all enjoyed immensely! The accommodations were perfect for our size family. We never felt cramped and it had plenty of space to spread out. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking supplies we needed. The only thing we could have used is a small supply of cleaning products so we could clean up through out the week without having to go purchase those. We would definitely recommend this property and hope we can use it again in the future. Garden City Realty were great to deal with and always very responsive when we had a question prior to our arrival. We never had a problem during our stay so did not need to contact them during our week there. Would highly recommend this company!

We had a really good time. this was the 4th time staying in my three sons and sea gal. The house is perfect for our size family. We really appreciated the upgrades from the last time we stayed. New 2nd floor carpet, new island, new flooring on 1st floor, remodeled showers on 2nd floor were all amazing and very much noticed. Thank you for all that. As a frequent guest and already booking next year, can I make a couple suggestions for future upgrades. Bigger refrigerator since mini frig was lost, better kitchenware selection (simple things like a pizza cutter or sharp knives). Again thank you for letting us stay in your home. Matt

We (4 adults, 2 kids) had a great time here. The house is very comfortable and kitchen has everything you need. It has a cottage/rustic feel. It's not small but I wouldn't want more than 8 folks to be comfortable. The selling point is the outside space- steps to the beach, small pool that is refreshing(5' deep at lowest point), large deck with a table for dining and 4 comfy rockers. Lots of beach amenities- chairs, beach toys) and inside games.The decking is synthetic so no splinters but it does get hot. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather on an uncrowded beach the 3rd week of August. The furniture is new and comfortable and we loved our beds- not something we could say about previous rentals! Only small quibble is that some floor areas were a little sandy upon arrival but otherwise a very clean space. Very happy with 3 Suns.

The property description was accurate. The home couldn't have been any closer to the beach. It was very convenient and we were able to get into the house about 2 hours earlier than anticipated. The kitchen was very well-stocked with plates, pots/pans, etc. The home could have been a little cleaner, as there was still sand on the floors from the previous tenants. The carpets and some of the furnishings were somewhat worn and threadbare. The pool was cleaned three times during the week, which was awesome. The agent called on Monday to ensure everything was good, and responsed to our two concerns - very much appreciated. I would recommend this property to a friend or relative. We ate at the Gulfstream Cafe the final evening - very good food. Overall, this was a wonderful vacation experience at Our Three Suns.

Our family had a wonderful time at Our Three Suns. Great house for the 11 of us (67 to 3 years) right on the beach. We also loved having a pool. Very clean and responsive management team. We had one minor issue and they were there within a few hours. Would highly recommend.

Everything you need
This house has it all. You just can’t beat the beachfront with pool and massive deck. Add the smart tvs in all rooms and there’s nothing more needed. The recent upgrades are awesome. I highly recommend this house.

Beautiful home and the three Gable windows made it easy to find from the beach side after long walks. The home was well appointed, everything worked, and it appears that a recent update was completed. The big decks were well used by us during our trip. Loved the ample deck furniture and it was well constructed, not flimsy. My only complaint was there was no gas grill(?) provided. For a $5k weekly rental, that amenity does not seem like too much to ask.

We had a great time. House is beautiful, bright and spacious. Kitchen area could have been cleaned a little better.Location is great. Staff was great and always attentive. Only problem was the wifi didn’t work. We had a problem with lights not working (was out of everyone’s control) and as soon as I called, they had someone out to look and fix the problem! We plan on returning to same house on our next visit!

This house is in a great location practically on the beach. It is well maintained, spacious and clean. Favorite place was the deck. Weather was in 70s which was phenomenal for Dec.
House, porches, and deck have been redone with hardi plank. Some construction materials were left on sight which was a bit concerning. House is no longer pink.
Great improvements.
There a few maintenance issues which were handled quickly and professionally.

Returning Home Again
We first stayed at the Sea Gayle (now Our Three Suns) shortly after it was built post Hugo and our stays are too numerous to count. Instead of a young mother, I'm now the grandmother of the group. This lovely home holds so many wonderful memories for our family and after a 15 year absence it was like returning home again. The views of the beach/ocean are amazing and the pool is a wonderful addition. We had a great family vacation!

Great house! Nicely decorated, furniture and beds comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with table settings, flatware and pots and pans. Only one small suggestion that is important to cooks, and that is to have the chopping and paring knives sharpened and provide a better spatula. Overall, we were all very pleased with the accomadations!

Thank you for an absolutely perfect week with our kids and our grandkids. We cook alot, and we found your kitchen to be loaded with every gadget, pots, bowls and dishes we'd need. The house was immaculate when we arrived, so we tipped our housekeeper and the grandbabies wrote her a sweet note of thanks. The heated pool was necessary due to the cold ocean temp, so it was a wonderful escape from the sand, in the afternoon. We'd book again next year but we think we'll have more of our kids join us so there won't be enough space, which we're all sad about. Anyone wanting the perfect accomodations should book this house now!

The house is located on the residential side of the pier where beach traffic is minimal. Great for a quiet beach vacation or socially distanced beach activity.

The house was very clean. The kitchen had everything you would need to make a meal. The house was decorated nicely. The only downside was the quality of the sheets provided.

The pool was a big hit for our four kids! The adults enjoyed it too. The patio furniture at Our Three Sons is second to none. The views of the ocean are breathe taking.

Garden City has a very small downtown area near the pier. The house is within driving distance of many stores and restaurants. Duck Donuts is a must!

If you enjoy the beach but do not want to be in the hustle and bustle of the main drag, this is the house for you. We would love to come back in the future!

This was our third year at OurThreeSuns and we have reserved it again for next year. It is so well located on the beach and fits our family perfectly. Even with Covid, this week worked out well and we were able to safely distance. The pool was an unexpected addition this year that we had not planned for ($). Everything was in working order.

I loved that we could put our EZup canopy on the beach and be protected from the sun. I loved that fireworks was set off every night outside our window. It was beautiful and fun to watch and hear all the ooohs and ahhhs! The kitchen was well stocked with a great mixer! When I asked if a blender is part of the rental agreement. It was delivered within the hr.!! Fantastic customer service.

We are creatures of habit and for years have gone to another vacation spot in North Carolina, but this year presented us with the opportunity to travel a little farther south! We chose Garden City Beach when a friend said if you are going to Myrtle, this is the place to go. Hakuna Matata was perfect for us, plenty of room, clean, beautiful view from the rocking chairs on the porch. I wouldn't have changed a thing!

We had a fabulous week in Garden City Beach - the weather was perfect for walking along the surf, shelling, checking out the pier, watching the dolphins and fisherman from 'the back porch' and enjoying a 'marsh walk' and dinner(s) at nearby Murrell's Inlet. We also had a day of shopping at the Outlet Mall and an evening at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach~25 minutes away.

Hakuna Matata was comfortable - the kitchen was spacious and had all the essentials for cooking. There were several bedrooms - the beds were okay and bathrooms met our needs. The house/environment is well suited for families with young children. Lots of toys, bunk beds, etc and there is a ramp for easy access to the beach.

We had a great week and will definitely return! Thank you!

From the moment we arrived at the house we knew we were going to have a wonderful week of fun and relaxation. The house was clean and well furnished and included more than enough dishes, cookware and utensils for our large crowd of 12. At the time of our stay there were 5 boogie boards, 5 usable beach chairs, several inflatable floats, and lots of buckets, shovels and such to keep the little ones happy. A small charcoal grill was on the deck for our burgers and shrimp cookout. We really enjoyed the screened in porch to watch the amazing sunrises while drinking our coffee and watching the Dolphins swim by. The only problem we encountered was with the bedding. The only comfortable bed was the king size bed. The other mattresses were very uncomfortable. We rate the house as 5 star and the bedding as 2 star.

For the most part, we had an enjoyable time. However there was only one oceanfront bedroom. The rest of the bedrooms were ocean view which meant looking out a window. We would have preferred more oceanfront bedrooms. The kitchen was large and the island was a plus. It was nice to be able to have more than one person working in the kitchen at the same time. All appliances worked very well. We liked the wood floor much better than carpet or tile on the first floor. House was clean but the furniture was stained in the living room area. The picnic table on the deck was unusable as the seat on one side was broken in half. (Realty company removed the broken seat.) The screened in porch was really great. We spent a lot of time out there eating meals, playing games and reading even when it was raining. The view was fantastic and it was only a short walk to the beach. This was our first experience with the linen package and it was great. The house had Wi-Fi and it worked well. We went shopping at Tanger's outlets. We had dinner one night at Toscano's Italian restaurant in Myrtle Beach. It was quite good. Even though it stormed quite a bit we still had a wonderful week.

Wonderful vacation for family and friends at Hakuna Matata. We vacationed August 30- September 6. The house is lovely. Kitchen is well stocked with large items so cooking for a large group is made easier. There are an abundance of beach toys, skim boards and beach chairs for your use as well as inside toys and DVD's for the kids.

THIS WAS THE 1ST TIME THAT I HAD RENTED A BEACH HOUSE AND IT WAS THE BEST THING THAT I COULD HAVE DONE WAS TO STAY AT THE HAKUNA MATATA FOR CHRISTMAS 2013. MY BABY SISTER CAME HOME FROM SANTA MONICA FOR THE 1ST TIME IN 8 YEARS WITH HER 4 CHILDREN AND HUSBAND. MY MOM HAD HER 3 GIRLS AND 5 GRANDKIDS AND SON IN LAW UNDER ONE ROOF FOR SANTA CLAUSE AND WE HOSTED MOMS SIDE OF THE FAMILY CHRISTMAS DAY DINNER. THERE WERE SO MANY DISHES THERE AND THAT WAS GREAT. THE PLACE HAD SO MUCH ROOM THAT NO ONE GOT UNDER FOOT. I COOKED AT THE ISLAND BAR AND WATCHED THE WAVES HIT THE BEACH AND YOU COULD HEAR THE OCEAN TOO. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR OPENING YOUR HOME UP FOR OTHERS TO ENJOY AS WELL. THE ATMOSPHERE OF YOUR PLACE IS CALM, PEACEFULLY AND RELAXING WHEN YOU WALK IN THE DOOR. There were 5 couples that stayed there the week of May 18, 2013. The house was surprisingly amazing with new floors and deck. The furniture even looked new. All the sleeping rooms were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. The weather was great and we went down to the beach every day. We were close enough to a grocery store and far enough away from hectic traffic and activity. If I had to complain about anything, it would just be that some of the sheets we were given did not fit the beds....too small.....and we had to work around that. Other than that.....this was an amazing family vacation!

Everything went great from a 30 minute early check in with no hassle to a great location that was kept up and clean. Especially loved the two outdoor showers under the house. The only negative and i'm reaching here was the small toilets. They need to be upgraded. Not a big deal but the house was painted a salmon color and didn't match the picture so that threw us a little curve ball when we were trying to find it. I was very happy with this house and if I ever rent in Garden City again I would try to get this house.
