Kick off your Independence Day with one of Pawleys Island’s most beloved traditions: a charming small-town parade full of personality. Starting at 10:00 AM on the South Causeway, the celebration features festively decorated golf carts, boats, bikes, and even tractors. Locals bring plenty of patriotic flair, competing for prizes for the most creative designs. It’s quirky, lively, and packed with hometown character.

The 2026 Murrells Inlet Fourth of July Boat Parade, with a theme of "Floating on Freedom: Celebrating 250 Years," takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, starting around 5:30 p.m. at Garden City Point. Decorated boats travel through the inlet, followed by evening fireworks at 10 p.m. from the Marsh Walk.
