NASCAR legend, and author of the best-selling book "I Was a NASCAR Redneck", Will Cronkite, will be signing autographs alongside the First Lady of Motorsports, Linda Vaughn. Come by for a photo opportunity. All of this is happening at Gasoline Alley, presented by Streetside Classics, sponsored by In the Pits Racing Radio, and powered by Racing Junk. This event section will surely win the hearts of enthusiasts with various authentic vintage race cars.
Al Liebmann of In the Pits Media will lead the way with a variety of authentic vintage race cars. “These are the race vehicles we all grew up admiring. When you think of classic and vintage race cars, what comes to mind are the legendary NASCAR cars. We will have several restored Cup Cars, and Drag Racing will not be left behind. Vintage Front Engine Nitro dragsters and Fuel Altered Coupes will be part of the show. We'll have a few vintage Indy cars, and last but not least, the winningest IROC car in history, Mark Martins Trans Am, will be part of the event”.
Considered the largest independent classic car show on the east coast, the three-day event features over 3,200 pre-1989 cars and trucks, 150 vendors and sponsors, and 10,000 spectators on 54 acres. The event will continue to generously support many local and national charities including National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Children’s Miracle Network at McLeod Children’s Hospital, Horry County Sherriff’s Department Benevolent Fund, Grand Strand Miracle League, United States Submarine Veterans Association, and the Carolina Forest HS NJROTC Booster Club.
