Myrtle Beach Ghost, Pirates and Historic Families Trolley Tour

Take a half-hour ride south of Myrtle Beach on a climate-controlled trolley to the fishing community of Murrells Inlet, SC, and beyond. Hear the quintessential ghost stories that locals have grown up with (no ghost sightings here, just great stories), background on the pirates who were said to have frequented the local shores 300 years ago, and historical commentary on the influential families who lived in the area and helped shape our nation's history. This two-hour narrated tour serves as a mere introduction to wonderful places that we will be passing by that you'll want to come back and visit, while conveying a great deal of information about the local folklore and history along the way.

DETAILS:

BRIEF STOPS:  Passenger stops to hop off for just a few moments include The Gardener's Cottage at Brookgreen Gardens, The Pawleys Island Hammock Shops Village, and at a photo-worthy overlook in Murrells Inlet. IMPORTANT: If you want to spend time at these area attractions, this is not the tour for you. Our stops are brief to accommodate our two-hour tour.

AGE LIMITS:  Guests must be at least three years old to be aboard the trolley. Also, it is best to book before the Monday of the week of your tour. Only tours meeting the required minimum number of tickets purchased by that Monday morning will run that week.

LOCATION: Meet in front of the Grand 14 Theater at The Market Common, beside the airport, to begin boarding at 9:45 a.m. There is ample free parking in two parking decks, several lots, and on the street. Nearby cafes are open before the tour, and upscale restaurants and stores are ready to welcome patrons upon the tour's return at noon.

TROLLEY DETAILS: The trolley is enclosed and climate-controlled; however, we recommend that you bring a sweater or jacket, if the weather calls for it, to keep you comfortable at our stops. Also, there are restrooms located near Grand 14 on Deville Street on the next corner beside the bike shop, and at The Pawleys Island Hammock Shops.
