The annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival and Parade will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023, on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach.
This one-day event is a fan-favorite festival that has been celebrating all things Irish for more than 30 years! The event kicks off with a parade along Ocean Boulevard in North Myrtle Beach at 9 a.m. Featuring more than 100 entries, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in North Myrtle Beach is the biggest on the Grand Strand. The parade route will start on Ocean Boulevard and end at Ye Olde Kings Hwy. Spectators arrive early, so it is recommended that you set up your “viewing station” by 8:30 a.m. to secure your view of the festivities. WPDE personalities, Ed Piotrowski and Jennifer Abney, will be announcing the parade at the Community Stage located at Main Street and N. Oak Drive. For those that can’t make the parade in person, it will be broadcast LIVE on CW21.
The parade is followed by a family-friendly street festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., complete with local vendors, live entertainment, kids’ activities, and more. Expect Irish Pipe Bands, Irish Dancers, and many more live performances. Three stages provide endless entertainment throughout the day with live bands, a shepherd’s pie eating contest, a leprechaun contest, and traditional Irish music. Over 120 vendors will display their crafts. Food vendors and Main Street businesses will have a variety of Irish treats and festival food favorites for everyone to enjoy. Keep an eye out for all the street entertainers and leprechauns that scurry around this festival. Bring the “wee” ones to enjoy the children’s area that is chocked full of rides and games for all ages.
