Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other attractions include Marlin Quay Marina, Gulf Stream Cafe, Original Sam's Corner, and Sara J's Seafood Restaurant.
Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community that is considered to be the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina", but is also home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning seafood and barbecue restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.
Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of Murrells Inlet. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures placed in them, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems and the Lowcountry Zoo.
If you're looking for places to shop, Inlet Square Mall, The Market Common, Coastal Grand, Myrtle Beach Mall, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, countless strip-malls, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach. Looking for some entertainment, take in a show at Alabama Theater, Medieval Times, The Carolina Opry, Pirates Voyage, and Legends in Concert. And don't forget about Ripley's Aquarium, Alligator Adventure, Hard Rock Cafe, Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.
Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.
Surfside Beach, Garden City Beach and Murrells Inlet are all close to Waccamaw Hospital and several urgent care facilities.
Whatever your desire, whatever your need, the south strand offers a little something on everyone's to-do list. We have a variety of restaurants, retail stores, miniature golf, entertainment venues, charter fishing, water sports... and of course, nothing but relaxation.

We arrived on 8/10/2019 when arrived at the house a technician was working in the house so we had to park at the next house due to him parking in the drive way. Once we arrived he left he was hanging blinds in upstairs bedroom. He had the tv on in the bedroom. The pool had some leafs and the pool decked needed to be washed off due to debris. The pool drain was full of leafs as well. The pool maintenance company did stop by twice during the week for all of ten minutes. Their was an odor in the kitchen pantry. It smelled of a old wet mop. The stairs didn't seem that it was vacuumed prior to us arriving. The was a orange spot on the comforter in the master bedroom. The sliding door to the deck off the living room was not working properly. We called the maintenance number and someone came out within a few hours to look into issue. We never used the sliding door during our stay. We used the front door to access front balcony. One of the swivel chairs in the living room seemed like it was broke we also advised maintenance of this as well. The handrail leading upstairs was very dirty looked like it has been cleaned in a while. I am not sure if you are aware of these items I spoke of. We had a good time while we were in Surfside Beach and enjoyed our stay. But we spent quite a bit of money for the week and I know issues a rise. Thanks for your time

First time in a surfside and we loved it!
We loved having our own pool (we typically stay in condos)
I like to lay in the sun so the amount of shade the pool gets from the tree is a negative for me but my husband liked it!
We really enjoyed the location and we rented a golf cart to enjoy and I would definitely recommend that!
All in all the home was nice and the location was great (first time not being ocean front and didn’t really mind) honestly the walk to the beach was just as quick as getting on an elevator and walking through everything at the condos!

We had a group of ten and this house had plenty of room, clean, and great location. My family and friends had the best summer vacation!
My only recommendation the one bedroom w double and connected bathroom needs upgraded to queen mattress and replaced bed frame.
