Mariposa is a six-bedroom, six-bath oceanfront home in Long Bay Estates, located one mile south of Myrtle Beach State Park and within easy walking distance of the Springmaid Resort Pier and state park pier. This beach house features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with two refrigerators, two range-top ovens, two microwaves and two dishwashers. Other amenities include an elevator (with access to main floor only), a fireplace, two washers, two dryers, central heat and air conditioning, and ceiling fans. Seven color TVs (cable), DVD players, SONOS Play: 5 Wireless Speaker, telephone, high speed Internet, and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include four bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs. The bed sizes consist of two kings, two queens and two twin-sized beds, two twin-over-double bunk bed sets, plus one queen sofa bed. Two playpens and two highchairs are available for infants or toddlers. Four bathrooms are located upstairs and two are downstairs (one bathroom has handicap accessible shower). The outdoor living space features a private 22-by-16-foot swimming pool- (Heated Sept-May When Air Temp is Above 48 Degrees), and hot tub, oceanfront covered porch, sundeck and screened-in porch, gas grill, enclosed outdoor shower, and ample parking (some covered). No smoking. No pets. Check-out maid service included. Linens included. Maximum occupancy: 16
Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other attractions include Marlin Quay Marina, Gulf Stream Cafe, Original Sam's Corner, and Sara J's Seafood Restaurant.
Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community that is considered to be the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina", but is also home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning seafood and barbecue restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.
Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of Murrells Inlet. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures placed in them, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems and the Lowcountry Zoo.
If you're looking for places to shop, Inlet Square Mall, The Market Common, Coastal Grand, Myrtle Beach Mall, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, countless strip-malls, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach. Looking for some entertainment, take in a show at Alabama Theater, Medieval Times, The Carolina Opry, Pirates Voyage, and Legends in Concert. And don't forget about Ripley's Aquarium, Alligator Adventure, Hard Rock Cafe, Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.
Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.
Surfside Beach, Garden City Beach and Murrells Inlet are all close to Waccamaw Hospital and several urgent care facilities.

8 of us stayed in Mariposa from Saturday afternoon-Tuesday morning. We hated to leave due to Hurricane Florence. The house was better than we had imagined. The location was perfect- on the beach, deadend street and one house from the turtle sanctuary. It was an easy walk to a peer, clean and wide beach and quick access to the international airport. The pool was clean and shaded all day. That was appreciated, getting out of the sun. The house was large yet homey. The porch was most often used by us. The house was clean, all 8 had their own bed, plenty of bathrooms and a kitchen supplied with basics. Garden City Realty was easy to deal with.

Our family had a fantastic stay. We loved all the work you put into the house over this past winter. But, we would dearly love some hangers! Also, the upstairs north bedroom apparently needs a new mattress according to the folks who used that room. We had some issues with the new lock system but worked through them - next summer we'll be pros. The spa in the pool could use a small sheet on how to use it properly. It would save calls to the office and down time - no spa for 2 days really isn't the best. Other than that we appreciate so much your allowing us to use your property. Our family has been coming here for 12+ years.

The location of this house can't be beat! Next to the State Park and no public beach access in the neighborhood made it a very private experience. The screened-in deck was perfect in the morning to watch the sunrise. The kitchen was very well stocked (although a second coffee pot would be good!). All of the bedrooms were comfortable. Having the pool and hot tub partially under the house was a bonus to be able to get a break from the sun when needed. Would love to stay here again someday and would definitly recommend for others!
