Born in Charlotte, NC, Melissa's (Missi) family moved to Surfside Beach in 1974. Her parents owned a beach house and loved the area, so they made it their permanent home. 

Missi has two adult children and a kitty named Luna. She is an avid animal lover who enjoys fishing and spending time with her husband.
