Notice: The owner has replaced the beds in the second bedroom with two twin-sized beds. There is no closet space is available in the second bedroom, though there is a six-drawer dresser present. Also, a coat closet has been made available in the condominium's entry hallway to accommodate hanging clothes.
Surf Master by the Sea 604 is a two-bedroom, two-bath oceanfront condo located 1.2 miles north of Garden City Pier. This condo features a fully-equipped electric kitchen complete with dishwasher and microwave, and also an oceanfront balcony, washer, dryer, and central heat and air conditioning. Other amenities include three Smart TVs (cable), DVD player, and Wi-Fi. Sleeping accommodations include one queen, two twin-sized beds, plus a sofa bed. Common area features two elevators in both towers, two oceanfront swimming pools and hot tubs, ample parking, (some covered) 7-foot clearance. Parking spaces are limited and availability is based on the size of each unit. One bedroom units are assigned one space; two and three bedroom units are assigned two spaces. Vehicles not displaying a parking pass on the rear view mirror or in a prominent area on the dash board are subject to immediate towing per the Surf Master HOA. Additional parking passes are not available for other guests or visitors of guests. This unit is located in the north building. No smoking. No pets. No golf carts allowed. Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other attractions include Marlin Quay Marina, Gulf Stream Cafe, Original Sam's Corner, and Sara J's Seafood Restaurant.
Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community that is considered to be the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina", but is also home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning seafood and barbecue restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.
Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of Murrells Inlet. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures placed in them, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems and the Lowcountry Zoo.
If you're looking for places to shop, Inlet Square Mall, The Market Common, Coastal Grand, Myrtle Beach Mall, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, countless strip-malls, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach. Looking for some entertainment, take in a show at Alabama Theater, Medieval Times, The Carolina Opry, Pirates Voyage, and Legends in Concert. And don't forget about Ripley's Aquarium, Alligator Adventure, Hard Rock Cafe, Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.
Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.

The location was perfect, the size of the apartment was perfect, the view sensational. Loved the floors and the brightness of the place. That was a few big downfalls with this apartment, that once addressed would make the place perfect. The kitchen sink would not drain properly because the disposal was broken, big deal for me. The cooking top did not work well either, took a long time to boil water to make a cup of tea. The tub in the second bathroom dripped and the maintenance person said they couldn’t fixe anything because the owner wanted to take care of it. The light in the entry wall was falling off the ceiling. The bathroom fans were rusted and the one in the master suite did not work at all. None of these items were addressed by the maintenance person. The only thing they did was to drain the sink a couple of times. It would not drain, even though I used the drain insert to catch every little thing from going in. I would not rent the place if I knew about this issues, and will not unless they’re fixed.

Modestly furnished condo at reasonable price point - met expectations. Simple but impactful improvements would be replacement of very old mattress in 2nd bedroom (which my daughter compared to sleeping on a wooden board), addition of 2 extra chairs on balcony, and upgraded capacity water heater (as hot water runs out quickly with 4 guests staying in condo).
Beach weather was perfect the week of May 18, which helps to resolve any minor concerns LOL. Surfmaster is in great location - very close to many great restaurants and activities. We've rented several condos in SM down through the years and will undoubtedly do so again during future visits.

Couldn't use bathroom sinks for first 3 days. Black flakes kept coming up from drains. Finally got them flushed out. I think it is #6 on the list of instructions which states that you are not to use the owners phone for long distance calls. We NEVER do and surely couldn't as there was no line phone. Fortunately Drew, at his expense from what I understand, got a line connection and provided us with a phone - took about 4 days. All thanks to Drew for his efforts. Drew also provided a table light for the 2nd bedroom - there had not been one. Couldn't open the blinds in the living room window at all - the ones over the patio doors work - kind of.
