2020 Notice: The owners of Gray Goose have recently completed some major updates and renovations that include: reconfigured lounge space in third-floor master-suite with queen-sized sofa bed (Tempurpedic mattress), swivel lounge chairs, and ottomans; new floor-to-ceiling windows in second-floor master bedroom and bath (20-foot in bedroom, 10-foot in master closet), custom shower with new subway tile and onyx floor, his and her shower with dual heads, handheld, and rainfall shower head, claw-foot tub, custom Hunter Douglas silhouette shades, and king-sized bed; new floor to ceiling ocean front windows on first floor, gas fireplace in main living room, wine storage, and additional formal dining room with seating for eight; new living area under house complete with sitting and dining areas (two dining, one with custom-built picnic table), Hot Springs hot tub, and workout area; direct elevator access to under house living and pool areas (four small stairs at ground level access point); new deck extension off main level with cable railings and private dune walk, pool side cabanas with Restoration Hardware chaise lounges, outside shower with bench seating, and landscaping; new exterior and interior lighting (LED throughout interior with dinner controls), new Trane air handling systems, new roof, covered porch with direct powder room access, and new brick chimney. Grey Goose is a five-bedroom, five-and-a-half bath oceanfront house, with bonus room, located 2.5 miles south of Garden City Pier. This property features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with Thermador stainless steel appliances including a six-burner stove top with griddle, microwave and dishwasher, as well as an extra full-sized refrigerator, two washers, two dryers, central heat and air conditioner, and ceiling fans throughout. Seven TVs (65-inch LG in living room, 35-to-55-inch TVs in bedrooms; one with built-in DVD player), sound bar, and Wi-Fi are also provided. Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet.
Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community that is considered to be the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina", but is also home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning seafood and barbecue restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.
Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.
