Clean-Quiet-well maintained-everything you need is there waiting even pelicans/dolphins/surfers/paddleboarders/shells/surf fishermen/boats to watch-they have TV's but plenty to watch and do without those.
We are already planning our next stay. If it was not clear in the title of my review this home is as close to the beach as it gets.- Leslie H. from Kernersville, Posted: 10/26/2020
Great week with great weather- Vernon M. from Bowie, Posted: 10/05/2020
We love the Peddlars Patch. It’s the perfect size for 8 people. The location is the best. The only issue we have had is the Oceanside bedroom on the right walking from the front of the house is very warm.- Kimberly N. from Lima, Posted: 07/27/2020
This vacation house is amazing . There was 2 adults and 4 teenagers and we had plenty of room. The porch that overlooks the beach is my absolute favorite place to be . There was 6 rocking chairs to sit out there and enjoy the view and the porch was huge . The area we stayed in is very family friendly but still close to all the great things to do in myrtle beach . The house was clean . Everything functioned properly . And the fact that you walk down the porch steps and your on the ocean is perfect . There was 3 queen beds and two twin beds and the bedrooms were huge . A giant dining room table to eat dinner with the family and a well equipped kitchen .. we spent the extra money for the linen package and it was well worth it . Saved us from having to pack towels and sheets and blankets . I would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be back- Coral S. from Slippery Rock, Posted: 06/08/2020
Easy and simple. Had a great week. Great location- Jamie H. from Concord, Posted: 08/19/2019
This is the 3rd year in a row that we’ve been to Garden City and stayed at Peddllers patch! We loge it there- Kimberly N. from Lima, Posted: 08/12/2019
We did a lot of lounging on the beach and ate plenty of fresh seafood. We had a great week!! Cant wait for next year!!- Mark H. from GREENVILLE, Posted: 09/10/2018
Was my first time renting, but wanted out of MB proper. We chose Murrell’s Inlet. We have eaten at Sarah J’s on previous trips and drive through and thought we would give it a try.- William H. from Anderson, Posted: 07/02/2018
We rented this house last year and it was perfect for us. So we rented it again this year! We love the area. It’s close to shopping, great restaurants the pier is in walking distance and we’re rightvon the beach!- Kimberly N. from Lima, Posted: 06/26/2018
Loved the location!!! My family loved the ocean and the beach! We also loved the feel of this house. It reminded me of trips to the beach years ago, and I wasn't concerned about the kids messing something up. The layout of the house is great! Loved the 2 porches! The kitchen is a little small. The house does need maintenance and repairs. I'm assuming some damage was caused by Hurricane Matthew in 2016 and of course, there is normal wear and tear apparent. I appreciate this reasonably priced house being available for families that can't afford the pricier oceanfront houses!- Melanie W. from North, Posted: 07/31/2017
This house was absolutely adorable. It had everything we needed and was right on the ocean. I absolutely loved this place! It was close to everything we wanted to do. Best vacation ever!- Kimberly N. from Lima, Posted: 06/29/2017
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Peddlers Patch.
The pictures made the house look better than it really was.Every time we used the blow dryer in the yellow bathroom it blew the breaker. The kitchen was small, only one person could cook, but we were on vacation who wants to cook any way.- Cathy B. from Butler, Posted: 08/24/2016
Peddlers patch was a wonderful home for vacation. It was plenty spacious and about 15 feet from the beach off of the porch. The staff was very kind and helpful and had no issues with the house that I deemed large enough to complain about. I would recommend it to friends and family and plan to stay at peddlers patch again- Tyler A. from Simpsonville, Posted: 07/12/2016
Super- Anonymous from Bedford, Posted: 05/05/2016
The house was adorable! Plenty of room! The beach was like a private beach. The view was amazing and going to sleep listening the ocean was priceless! Special memories were made there!- Anonymous from Gaffney, Posted: 10/15/2015
This was our 2nd or 3rd time at the Peddler's Patch. We have never been in September. We usually go in June or July. Garden City is always great. It never changes, and that is what we like about it. We always have a great time at TPP (The Peddler's Patch). It is one of the few survivors of Hugo. It's porch and back yard are as good as any while maintaining that bit of history and simplicity. We spent our days on the beach and our nights on the back porch. We ate fresh Trigger and Hogg fish and local shrimp from Seven Seas almost every night. It is always our favorite week of the year and we can't wait to get back!!!! We will continue to stay at TPP as long as it stands.- Mark H. from GREENVILLE, Posted: 09/24/2015
This was our first trip to Myrtle Beach and I am so glad we stayed here in Garden City. It was like we had our own remote island. If you're looking for a family vacation out of all the hustle and bustle of business then stay here! There wasn't a lot of traffic to weed through on a daily basis as compared to staying downtown directly in MB ! The house was amazing and the views... Oh the views were heaven ! The house is in great shape too ! It was a perfect fit for our family of 6 ! There was a lot of restaurants nearby and a lot of local grocery stores too! A lot of souvenir shops nearby too ! I normally get homesick and want to come home from vacation after the third day .. We stayed 8 days and I wanted to stay another eight more ! I would most definitely recommend staying here !- Coral S. from Slippery Rock, Posted: 08/24/2015
Peddler's Patch was our first time house rental at beach vs. hotel. It was WONDERFUL. The front porch view was a great seller. No real complaints on house. Negative comments: Windows need blinds versus the lite weight curtains. Tint needs to be applied to the street side big window above the sink. Direct sunlite blinding in a.m. Major attention needs to be applied to the street side landscaping. Very unkempt for such an awesome house. I wanted to weed and trim it all. Love this place and yes I would go back.

somewhat clean, kitchen very small, don't plan to use the grill, its a fire hazard. This house only has 2 bathrooms.- Linda D. from Aylett, Posted: 09/21/2014
We had a nice relaxing time at the peddlers patch it was close to the beach beds were comfortable and a large living area was nice to- Edward K. from Paris, Posted: 09/15/2014
Our week at Peddler's Patch was a blast. We spent about 30 percent of our time in the house, about 30 percent of our time on the beach, about 30 percent on the porch and about 10 percent elsewhere. It was the perfect house and the perfect location for our group!! We will be back!- Mark H. from GREENVILLE, Posted: 07/21/2014
Wish we had 2 weeks to stay instead of only 1.- Edward W. from Bettendorf, Posted: 06/16/2014
We stayed at Peddler's Patch in May of 2014 and got married on the beach in front of the house. What a great place to stay. Nothing fancy but the place was clean and comfortable. Couldn't have asked for a better location. It is within walking distance to the pier and the beach is not crowded. Had an issue with one of the toilets but someone came right away and fixed the problem. We are considering a return visit to this rental next year!- Andrea F. from Rayland, Posted: 05/27/2014
the place was excellent--as a matter of fact I put a deposit down for the same week next year- Linda G. from Florence, Posted: 10/14/2013
The location is awesome! Down the steps and you are right on the beach! The ceiling fan and all vents need to be cleaned. We had almost everything we needed to cook with except a good frying pan. The screened in porch is very nice. We would stay again!!!!- Anonymous from Fredericksburg, Posted: 09/23/2013
Year #12 in garden city/peddlar's patch. Our group loves it!- Anonymous from Blanchester, Posted: 07/01/2013
Peddler's Patch may need some TLC, but the gorgeous weather and great location hit a home run.- Nancy D. from Lincoln Park, Posted: 04/15/2013
Our vacation was wonderful....house right on the beach! The house was inviting, clean, and everything was there that we needed for cooking and cleaning. We were near the pier, but not too near. My family and I look forward to staying at Peddler's Patch in the future. We have already recommended it to others.- Anonymous from Weber City, Posted: 10/29/2012
I realized that this was an older house when I rented it and my review is not based on the structure of the house. When we arrived there were ants in the kitchen sink, countertops, & cabinets. Also ants in both bathrooms. This problem was already known b/c there were ant traps in cabinets & on the floor. For as many ants as we seen the only way to get rid of them would be to call an exterminator. We had to prewash any dish/utensil/glass we wanted to use because they were all dirty with dried food on them. I think the dish washer needs replacing. The washing machine (its a HE) wouldn't work half the time(it wouldnt start because it wouldnt register the door lock-that light had to be on to start even though the door was fully shut)The DVD player did not work. In the bedroom my parents stayed in,at night they felt bugs crawling on them. Not saying there were bed bugs b/c they didnt have bite marks but I think it was ants or some other bug. My father ended up sleeping on the couch b/c he could stand it anymore. The rooms got very hot at night (we all sleep with the doors closed). So the ventilation in the rooms was not good if the doors were closed. This was our 6th year staying in GC and our first year on oceanfront. We usually stay on the inlet but my mom wanted oceanfront. Needless to say we will not be staying here again. It was very disappointing b/c we did enjoy being on oceanfront but the other issues made our stay very unpleasant.- Crystal S. from North Wilkesbor, Posted: 10/01/2012
This was our second stay at Peddler's Patch. Just like our first stay here, we had an excellent time. The location is amazing. It is close enough to the pier to be walking distance, but far enough that the sound of live music at night isn't over-bearing.
The location is the true value here. The house is aging, which is why it is priced at the lower end. However, this didn't detract from our experience there. We will be staying here again!- Brett S. from Bloomfield, Posted: 09/19/2012
Couldn't have asked for a better location... Oceanfront with no crowds, walking distance to the pier.- Tracy B. from King George, Posted: 08/27/2012
The house was located between two public access points, so in front of this house it was never crowded, even though we went during July 4 week. The house was very clean and comfortable. Loved the screened in porch and play area under the house. Would definitely use this house again.- Anonymous from Lexington, Posted: 07/09/2012
