Better Twin is a five-bedroom, four-and-a-half bath beach home located 0.6 miles north of Surfside Beach Pier. This house features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with granite counters, dishwasher and microwave, tiled floors, washer, dryer, central heat and air conditioning, and ceiling fans. Six HDTVs (flat screen, cable), DVR, DVD player, and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include one king, three queen, and three double-sized beds, plus a queen sofa bed. Outdoor amenities include a private 12-foot-by-24-foot swimming pool, two decks with partial ocean views – one is adjacent to the living room, and charcoal grill. Dog friendly. Limit two dogs - 70-pound maximum weight limit if bringing one dog, 50-pound maximum weight limit per dog if bringing two. Please see the office for pet policy details. No smoking. Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other attractions include Marlin Quay Marina, Gulf Stream Cafe, Original Sam's Corner, and Sara J's Seafood Restaurant.
Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community that is considered to be the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina", but is also home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning seafood and barbecue restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.
Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of Murrells Inlet. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures placed in them, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems and the Lowcountry Zoo.
If you're looking for places to shop, Inlet Square Mall, The Market Common, Coastal Grand, Myrtle Beach Mall, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, countless strip-malls, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach. Looking for some entertainment, take in a show at Alabama Theater, Medieval Times, The Carolina Opry, Pirates Voyage, and Legends in Concert. And don't forget about Ripley's Aquarium, Alligator Adventure, Hard Rock Cafe, Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.
Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.
Surfside Beach, Garden City Beach and Murrells Inlet are all close to Waccamaw Hospital and several urgent care facilities.
Whatever your desire, whatever your need, the south strand offers a little something on everyone's to-do list. We have a variety of restaurants, retail stores, miniature golf, entertainment venues, charter fishing, water sports... and of course, nothing but relaxation.

We had a great week at the beach. The location was awesome - such a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed having a private pool. It was great to be able to bring our dogs, too.

Better twin is in an ideal location for beach access! It is literally 1/2 block from the beach! We also used our pool a LOT! Although not necessary, we did rent a golf cart for the week, and other than first-day grocery shopping, we used it for all of our other running. This property was super clean and accommodated our group comfortably. Some suggestions for the owners: the patio furniture on the main level front porch needs replacing. 2 chairs are literally falling apart. Vertical blinds in the upstairs bedroom that has the balcony also need to be replaced. They seem to be warped and will not turn which prevented any privacy and made for a very hot room when the sun was shining in. The patio table poolside should be replaced as it has quite a bit of rust. It would have also been nice to have chairs around that table. There were several lounge chairs poolside, but only 1 upright chair which made it difficult to eat meals outside. Property is a little dated, however very clean and well stocked. We would stay here again.

We loved having our own pool (we typically stay in condos)
I like to lay in the sun so the amount of shade the pool gets from the tree is a negative for me but my husband liked it!
We really enjoyed the location and we rented a golf cart to enjoy and I would definitely recommend that!
All in all the home was nice and the location was great (first time not being ocean front and didn’t really mind) honestly the walk to the beach was just as quick as getting on an elevator and walking through everything at the condos!
