Dr. Sea is a seven-bedroom, seven-and-a-half bath second row beach house located 0.8 miles south of the Garden City Pier, and directly across the street from public beach access. This charming 3,500-square-foot raised beach house is situated in one of the best locations on the beach - enjoy breathtaking sunrises over the blue Atlantic from one of two ocean side balconies AND spectacular inlet sunsets from one of two poolside balconies. Both are perfect spots to gather with family and friends, or to escape for a moment of solitude and enjoy the serene surroundings. This cheerfully decorated and spacious property features all the necessities of home including a fully-equipped kitchen complete with granite counters, microwave, dishwasher, as well as two refrigerators, wet bar with dorm-sized refrigerator, two washers, two dryers, central heat and air conditioning, and ceiling fans. Seven 32-inch TVs (bedrooms), one 50-inch TV (living room), eight DVD players, and Wi-Fi / high speed internet are also included. Amenities for small children include a high chair and pack-n-play. Sleeping accommodations include two bedrooms upstairs with two king-sized beds,and two-and-a-half baths, and five bedrooms downstairs with one king, three queen, and two double-sized beds, plus two twin-over-twin bunk bed sets with built-in trundles, and five baths. Two of the seven baths feature garden tubs. Outdoor amenities include a private and secure 18-by-24-foot swimming pool, grill, and ample parking (some covered). Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other attractions include Marlin Quay Marina, Gulf Stream Cafe, Original Sam's Corner, and Sara J's Seafood Restaurant.

Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community that is considered to be the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina", but is also home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning seafood and barbecue restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.

Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of Murrells Inlet. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures placed in them, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems and the Lowcountry Zoo.

If you're looking for places to shop, Inlet Square Mall, The Market Common, Coastal Grand, Myrtle Beach Mall, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, countless strip-malls, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach. Absolutely no complaints. Great location and easy access to the beach, rooms were a good size, nice having a private bath for each bedroom, great view of the ocean. All 21 of us had a very enjoyable time.
