Our offices are closed until further notice, and we expect phone and power outages during and after the storm. Please visit us on Facebook or Twitter @ GardenCitySC for updates. We will post an update once we are able to return to the office.

When will I be allowed in my vacation rental?

Scheduled arrivals will not be permitted until the governor ends the evacuation order, our offices reopen, buildings are inspected, and the properties have been cleared for occupancy.

Update #2 (Evacuation notice)

Gov. Henry McMaster has issued a mandatory evacuation for our area beginning Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at noon. This evacuation is put in place because there is potential of high storm surge, flooding, and road closures. Our guests’ safety is very important to us and staying during a storm of this magnitude could result in injury or death. First responders may not be available to assist you.

In preparation for the storm, some homeowners and/or Homeowner Associations may be making attempts to protect their properties including, but not limited to, pulling balcony furniture inside, placing pool furniture in the pool, restricting elevator usage, turning off fresh water supply, and boarding up windows.

Guest that have purchased Travel Insurance may contact Red Sky Travel Insurance at 866-889-7409 or online at www.SunTripPreserver.com to file a claim. Guests that did not purchase the travel insurance will be subject to our standard cancellation policy. No consideration for exceptions or rescheduling will be made until after the area has been assessed.

It may take several days for the evacuation order to be lifted. We advise all arriving guests not to travel to our area until the evacuation order has been lifted. For extended stays, once your property is available for your return, you may pick up your keys at the front desk.

Update #1 (In-house guests)

We are keeping an eye on Hurricane Florence as it is predicted to possibly make landfall late Thursday into early Friday morning. At this time, we do not have a good idea of how our area will be impacted. We should have a better understanding of the projected forecast and possible impacts within the next 48 hours. We will continue to monitor the storm projections and will provide updates via email. Currently, there have not been any government issued mandates by Gov. Henry McMaster.

If you are planning to leave, you must return your keys to the front desk upon departure, so it may be documented on your reservation.

Our office will continue to be open during normal hours between 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. We anticipate a high call volume over the next several days. We encourage you to visit and like our Facebook page as we will post updates when they become available.
