Drifter 201 is a two-bedroom, two-bath ocean-view condo located 0.5 miles north of Garden City Pier across the street from the beach. This unit features an electric kitchen with dishwasher, washer and dryer, carpet, wet bar, central heat and air, and private balcony. Two flat-screen TVs (cable), telephone, and Wi-Fi are also provided. There is access to the balcony from the master bedroom, which also includes a queen bed, television, and access to a bathroom. The secondary bedroom offers two twin beds and access to a full bath. Sleeping accommodations include one queen and two twin-sized beds, plus a queen sofa bed. Common area includes a swimming pool. No elevator. No trailers. No Golf Cart Allowed. No smoking. No pets. Property permits off-season monthly rentals. Check-out maid service included. Linens not included. Complete linen and bath package is available for $100, sheets and pillowcases only available for $48. Maximum occupancy: 6

Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other attractions include Marlin Quay Marina, Gulf Stream Cafe, Original Sam's Corner, and Sara J's Seafood Restaurant.

Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community that is considered to be the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina", but is also home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning seafood and barbecue restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.

Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of Murrells Inlet. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures placed in them, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems and the Lowcountry Zoo.

If you're looking for places to shop, Inlet Square Mall, The Market Common, Coastal Grand, Myrtle Beach Mall, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, countless strip-malls, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach. Looking for some entertainment, take in a show at Alabama Theater, Medieval Times, The Carolina Opry, Pirates Voyage, and Legends in Concert. And don't forget about Ripley's Aquarium, Alligator Adventure, Hard Rock Cafe, Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.

Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.

Surfside Beach, Garden City Beach and Murrells Inlet are all close to Waccamaw Hospital and several urgent care facilities.

Enjoyed the rental unit. Was clean,loved the balcony. Disappointed that a blender and cookie sheet not present in room. Could not use the closet in the 2nd bedroom due to 2 mattress in the closet. Overall enjoyed the unit.

This was our third time staying at the Drifter and, as always, everything was exceptional. The condo was just as clean and nicely appointed as the previous stays. The management team at Garden City was just as professional, while being very friendly, as we had remembered. September has always been our favorite time to come and this year was no exception. The pool was almost all ours all week and the weather cooperated nicely. We are already blocking out our next year September get-away and it will almost surely be back at the Drifter and Garden City Realty. Thank you for a Great time!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this condo. It was clean and provided all the necessities to have a wonderful vacation. Staff contacts were very helpful and informative. We often had the pool to ourselves to enjoy a lazy day on a raft! Great location to access the beach and a short walk to the pier and other small shops. Great place to rent and will check into it again for next year!

We had an overall good experience with the Drifter 201. The condo was clean and neat and it was very accessible to the beach. The pool was clean and not too crowded. The restaurants and activities were close and the Garden City Pier was close as well. They really need to purchase new T.V.'s though. They were really small, old and the second bedroom had no T.V. at all. We were very concerned that the sliding glass door to the balcony was not able to lock at all and in fact, would not completely close. Aside from the obvious hazard for the owners with storms, and the potential for a break-in, This could be a potential hazard for families with young children or babies. If they could fix the T.V. issue and the sliding glass door, the condo (although a bit older) was very comfortable and nice.
