Biography: Originally from Lake City, Dennis moved to Garden City Beach in 1977. He attended Spartanburg Methodist College and Francis Marion University and has been a licensed real estate agent since 1977. Dennis is a CPM, Certified Property Manager, GRI, Graduate of Realtors Institute, and a Broker In Charge of Garden City Realty, Inc. Vacation Rentals. He was the South Carolina President of IREM, Institute of Real Estate Management in 1991 and received the Realtor Image Award in 1992. Dennis has served on numerous boards and is involved with the South Carolina Pee Dee Area Fellowship of Christian Athletes. In 2010 Dennis was inducted into the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Hall of Champions.

During the past 13 years, Dennis has been a volunteer coach in the youth recreation leagues and coached with a couple of local high school baseball teams.

His hobbies include spending time with his sons hunting, fishing, and playing golf.

Dennis is married to Pam Galloway McElveen from Irmo, SC and they have two sons, Will and Drew.
